Could never afford the latest 50mm 1.4.....so just picked up a SMC A 50mm 1.4 off Ebay for $90...the most I have ever paid for a lens...but I aways seem to be in the dark and hope this helps...

Well...LBA strikes again...just won auction on Ebay for 50mm f2.8 SMC A Takumar Macro...$65....hopefully this will be the bargain investment I hope it to be....supposedly they usually go for $100 more,

I think a lot of negativity come from folks jealous of your good fortune...how do they not know that providence was working in your favor that day.. Or...since the cash was unmarked...karma was paying you forward....just food for thought

Had to feed my LBA...just got a Vivitar 70-210 macro zoom off an Ebay auction for $20....should be here by Wednesday...

I tend to give negative reviews a grain of salt...a wise(?) man is quoted as saying "there are no such thing as a bad lens...only bad photographers"....

Well...LBA strikes again ... this time in the form of a Pentax FZ 35-80....have seen all the negative reviews on it...including one fellow who says this lens won't even make a good paperweight! But, $15 at the Salvation Army...even if its a dog...the money goes to a good cause.

Thanks..yep..really love a bargain. My first camera was a Petri back in 1964...took a lot of good pictures with it..and get a kick reading folks who complain about non AF lens.

Just got a 28mm f2.8 cosmicon. Never heard of the brand before..but for $10 on Ebay...why not...anyway..arrived yesterday and took it out for a scenic country drive...I was amazed...takes really good pictures...will be using it often.

Of course there was the time that I wanted to be TOTALLY prepared and spent the evening before cleaning lenes, charging battery, arranging everything in the bag for easy access, making sure memory card had ample storage...drove the fifty miles the next day...set up the shot...and...nothing...battery was still charging on the desk back home....argh....luckily...a Walgreens wasnt far and without wasting a lot of time picked up a pack of AA batteries for the K30 and all ended well...now always carry AAs in the bag for my next lapse of memory...

Went on a photo shoot yesterday. Needed to use my 18-55. After setting up the shot,
Found that I could not focus. Thought OMG the lens
Had broke. Had to cancel the shoot as I really
Needed the 18mm. Later that evening at home took
Another look at my lens....turned out I had a 10x close up filter
Still attatched to it from previous day....my bad!

Being on a tight budget...I have to troll ebay looking for deals...just got a Tamron 90-300 macro zoom...looks like new...will be trying it out tomorrow....$70 including the shipping...
