That's annoying :(
Now I really hope Sigma consider making that lens available in future to Pentax mount.

Can this Pentax mount version be confirmed? I can't seem to find it anywhere else.

'Sigma 120-300mm OS f2.8 in Pentax mount'
This new Pentax camera and that particular lens look to be the perfect start already for my future Sony A7R/Pentax combined system :D I would like to use this lens for portraits rather than the 70mm to 200mm with that samyang 135mm f/2 to go with my Contax 180mm 2.8. I really hope that some of the future prime lenses have aperture rings as they already do on the limiteds, and weather resistance for even more utility. I could potentially use them on both cameras putting the 31mm between the 28mm and 35mm lenses I have for my Sony A7R, and likewise a 43mm before the Pentax A 50mm 1.2 as I love the range around true normal focal length. Perhaps Zeiss will start to make their lenses in K mount again now too.

That's a great range of focal lengths, I would snap up that lens very quickly to try it out XD

First I would try my Pentax A 50mm f/1.2, then Chinon multi-coated 55mm f/1.4 to compare and finally MC Mir 35mm f/2 to see how they all feel flush with the camera and with manual controls all properly aligned and mounted securely. :D I would be itching to try a modern fast Pentax AF zoom (which is why I would really want the camera) or even a vintage manual one, as I have found the manual zooms I got for my A7R in different mounts to be excellent, with extremely smooth focus and zoom action, as smooth or in one case smoother than even the Chinon. All of my lenses presently are fully manual bar one, which has no manual aperture :I

Hi there!
I agree, a smaller body overall from the competition would be great, and I have started thinking how I could have both the A7R and Pentax on my body at once, perhaps with the A7R in a waterproof case with a small prime lens and the Pentax with a 2.8 zoom to shoot with AF without even changing lenses and losing track of subjects! What especially interests me is the weather proofing combinations it will offer along with great image quality including shallow depth of field so that I can shoot undeterred by bad weather or sense of compromise, which will be important in future. In the past with my K-01 and vintage primes I simply avoided bad weather but this will not be an option for paid work and when I want to shoot as much as possible and am out for long periods.

I am going to seriously consider having one of these non APSC Pentax cameras to shoot alongside my Sony A7R or its successor, in future :)
