That's good news. Ricoh have two other opportunities to introduce Pentax as part of their advertising programme. They have banners at the end of the power stage on World Rally Championship events, they could add Pentax in an environment in which Canikon dominates. similarly they sponsor Italian Football matches, again an environment dominated by Canikon.

I recently tried a k-3 "how long will it last" and gave up at a thousand. I do check using the lcd and that test included intervalometer and composite shooting at an archery shoot. I didn't use the flash. I only gave up because I was out on a walk the next day and didn't want it to give up part way through. Don't worry about battery life.

Isn't interesting how small the body looks with the 70-200mm mounted, no wonder they had issues with finger clearance. Also , I note that we still haven't seen a clear picture of the left side of the LCD mount in extended/tilted position. Could there be a release catch for the screen as has been speculated. One picture briefly appeared, last year, which showed a fore and aft hinge which would be required for a spring loaded latch. Guess we'll know later.
