When I read your reply, my initial thoughts were "That's pretty impressive bluster...his portfolio must be off the charts" . When I looked closer at his gallery, I couldn't stop laughing. Honestly. I'm not a seasoned forum member but I'm familiar with Clackers impressive samples and his always constructive and supportive contributions. Come back and lecture people when you make a living with images that make a difference in the real world. At this point, you really just induce pity and laughter. Lashing out at Clackers and others must be your outlet from not enough hugs. Get a life. Good people take time out of their real and productive lives as big boy/big girl photographers to contribute here and you haven't earned the privilege to reap those contributions. Which is funny, because all that's required is common courtesy.

True. For those of us who have yet to aquire the K-1, it's almost torture. Isn't it awesome, though, to see how much fun so many Pentaxians are having at this particular time? Life is short and this is such a fun way to allot our time...

Sooo...I'm NOT the only one that does that to erasers...if it makes you feel any better, I hear Helen from Adorama tied up "Hank" in Web Page Proofing and subjected him to a slideshow of squirrel pictures from a forum member who will go un-named...he still twitches going down the nut aisle for groceries...

You know, for the musicians in the forum (I'm sure we're well-stocked...), they might understand the subtle benefits a camera like this brings. If you're a photographer, this is a photographer's camera. We sometimes shoot to pay the bills, sometimes shoot for family obligations, sometimes just to console oneself just as musicians play for the same reasons. But when selfishness permits, I love to shoot for myself, to satisfy what I like to paint for my eyes. Just as, sometimes, you just have to play an instrument for it's therapy that heals you, so too, is photography therapeutic. And this camera, for me, is, so far, a big deal...It will, in the hands of some of these very talented photographers in this forum, tell some beautiful, amazing stories and that is pretty cool...Good times ahead...

Wow...where to begin...Really?? Not improved? What I'm really lamenting is the standard of comments and assessment coming from people who can't make informed decisions based on their needs and shooting styles. Lose customers? They are so going to add to their client base. But if they haaavvvee to lose customers like the sampling of naysayers posting so far, I would have to say that the loss of that group of people is probably the biggest wow feature this release has provided by a long shot...

It's kind of amazing to contemplate how each of these individual features would need to be considered in putting this camera together, keeping in mind what the other manufacturers are or have released with what makes Pentax/Ricoh unique. For me, Pixel shift would have to evolve exponentially to even hold my attention but even better WR would be amazing as would sensor IQ at a reasonable price...Even with this release announcement, hands-on image assessment is a ways away...

Well...I didn't respond to the age poll yet but...when I was young and started photography at the age of 6 months, we never needed a stinkin' lens cap... we just went out and got shots, walking 30 km uphill (both ways), in a snowstorm with nothing but a candle-powered flash and a pin-hole camera, befriending wolves and forest creatures along the way...
