Focusing in on face and it always fires.............the problem is it fires alot without the 3 sec delay.

Correct......
I just did some more testing...........
It is consistently being inconsistent:confused: It does work not everytime.......I might have to take numerous photos before it decides to use the 3 sec delay......need to find the cause somehow.

Are you guys doing something different with your settings than I?
It is now working sporatically.........sometimes it will just focus and not shoot, fire when tripped or fires 3 sec delay as it should.
Does it matter which remote is used? I am using a JJC remote I bought for the Q.
I'll take one shot and it works as it should and the next shot(s) it fires at the push of the button.

The manual says it works but I can't make it work for me.
I have it set to remote/3 sec delay
Fires when tripped......

I just purchased the 60-250 and so far am very happy with it. I don't have, or ever used, the DA 300 so I can't speak to any differences of the two as far as IQ. I was considering both and realized I wanted a more versatile lens so I can use the 60-250 for portraits and even some indoor shots.

The 25mm lens just may be the ticket for me...........I use a camera in my kayak for taking pictures of my catch and the extra wider angle would be a plus.
My only concern: Last year I bought the WG-2 and the videos were completely blown out on a sand dune trip. Perhaps it was user error, but my Sony would've handled it beautifully without any settings adjustments.

It's the wick burning on a candle..............I took the shot from overhead with my Tamron 90mm, I couldn't get as close as I wanted because of the heat. I know it's partially overexposed but this was the best I could get.............I like the glowing wick end.

Beth,
I don't do wrestling photography, I just engrave at many of our youth wrestling tournaments in the area. Sometimes they have 400 wrestlers.
I took my new lens along just to test it out in that environment.............all in all I would say it would serve you very well at the meets. I do not own the 50-135 but the extra reach of the 60-250 would be very handy. Of course your wrestling probably doesn't have 8-10 matches going on at once like the youth club tournaments.
I'd like to see some of your photos, maybe I could learn something..........I always tell my friends I just point and shoot!
BTW, I just read on one of the forums it is selling for $1199 right now.......
