My DA* 16-50 has been at cris since 6/28/13. It is now 9/15/13. Parts still on order. Had a bad AF motor.:(

I own the same lens and I bought it new around 1992. It is the same as the pentax. I find that it is better than some of the newer lens made today. I am surprised that they don't sell for more. they should be selling for $200.

I had the DA*50-135 and DA*16-50. Sold both and would not recommend them. Way over priced and unreliable. You can find better for much less money. read some of the reviews compared to sigma a tamron.

I also think the k10 had a better image. I had a k10 and I now have a k20 and k7. I find that my k7 is grainy even at iso200. My next cam will be a k5 when the price is down to the $700 range.

I had that problem with a sigma lens on a ist dl after firmware upgrade. I stoped by sigma with the lens and camera and they adjusted something for me and it worked fine after that. They have great support. they did it while I waited In there lobby.

I have both the k20d and kx. I also had the k100d super. I replaced the k100d with the KX. I liked the kx so much that I put the k20d on ebay. I sold the k20d and the person returned it. It was too much camera for him. So now I have both and I think I will keep both. I have the pentax 360 flash and I also find the exposure all over the place on p-ttl. I find I do much better with manual flash. I do like the video on the kx and find that it does use the battery fast. I have a grip for the k20d but find it too heavy to use. The price on the kx is good. I paid $650 for body, 18-55 and 55-300 lens. That was with bing cashback from beach camera. If I had to sell my k20d for less than $600 I would rather keep it. It is a great camera at that price and has a great build. The camera is only a tool and you will get great shots from any of the 3. My daughter used the k100d for 3 years of collage in her photography class. Now she uses the KX. She prints 13 x 19.

I like the K-X SO much, I have my K20D for sale. Get the K-X with the two lens kit if you have no lens. Put your money in some good lens if you want to upgrade. You can take great photos with any of the cameras out there if you know what you are doing. When I first upgraded to the K20 I was disappointed that it was no better than my K10. After I spent some time with it, I found the it was better than the k10. I like how the K-X is lighter that the k20 but the k7 is also light. If you buy the K-X now and decide to sell in a year or two, you will find that you lost less. The lens should hold value. The tow lens are worth about $300 combined. That means the camera is $300 to $400. You can sell the camera in a few years and get $200 - $250. My K20D was $1200 Two years ago and is only worth $500 -$600.

I received the camera back and it has no problem with it. I update the firmware to 1.40. He took 60 shots with it. I think it was too much camera for him. I put it back on ebay a second time and it didn't sell. Item number: 280497861455. I refunded his money but didn't refund the shipping. If it did have a problem, i would have sent him the shipping also. I find myself using the K-X more.

I did have a problem with a A_DATA and Patiot card. The ribs on the contacts broke off. I told him to look in the slot and see if there was any blue in there. He said he did see blue in there but there was no way to get it out. I tried it with my ocz card before I shipped it and the card went fine. He is shipping it back to me on 4/19. It will take a week before I receive it. I wanted to sell it because I just bought a KX from beach camera. I was going to order a K7. Glad I held off a few days. I also has a new grip to sell. I will put them back on ebay. Looks like I will loose what I paid for shipping.

I sold my K20D on ebay. The buyer is sending it back to me. he said that he has to insert the card a few times for it to latch in. I told him to return it and i will refund his money. It still has 1 1/2 year on the warranty. I never noticed this problem when I had it. I will get a RMA from pentax and send it in. Has any one else have this problem. It will be a week before i receive it to check it out. I hope he doesn't give bad feedback. I have 100% on 397. He paid $617 and it had a 1 1/2 year warranty left. Most used cameras have no warranty and they sell for that much. I also offered to sell him a New battery grip with battery for $110 with the camera.

I bought one after it first came out. That lens had lens creep. I sold it on ebay for what I paid for it. I missed it so I looked on ebay till I found a used one at a good price. This one had some dust in it and also creeped. I sent it to pentax and they cleened and adjusted it at no charge. I paid one way shipping. This is now my most use walk around. If you look at my list of lens you will see that I have some good ones.

It is listed on the list as a DA* 60-250mm F4 ED (IF) SDM.
What happened to the 18-250mm? I don't see it listed.

It is broke. I have two sf1n that work fine. I will be putting them up for sale. I don't expect to get more than $40 for each. I bought my sf1 when it first came out. The two sf1n's I picked up later on. The sf1n has a higher shuter speed. I now have a k20d and k100ds. I wish the new one's worked as well as my sf1n.

i just removed a screen from a old petri FT. i want to cut it down to fit the k20d. does anyone have the size of the k20d screen? i don't want to remove the old screen before i have the new one ready. i had dust in my k10d that i could never get off the screen.

I think I would go with the Nikon d90. My k20d is back at pentax. If I didn't have so much in pentax would go with the Nikon. I would sell it all on eBay but there fees are so high. I had an ist dl, and k10d. I now have a k20d and k100d super. Out of all of them I like the results of the k20d the least. I have a DA* 50-135, f50 1.4, f 35-70, DA 50-200, A50 1.7, A50 2.0, f 70-210 and a sigma 24-60 ex. The k20d is at the Pentax Factory now. I get soft focus on all my lens except for the Sigma. I had Sigma adjust the lens for the body. Sigma is 5 miles from my house. They did it while I waited in the lobby. I set the auto focus adjustment at -10 for all lens and it still was front focusing. The sigma works with no adjustment. Now when the body comes back the sigma will probably back focus? I also wonder how long pentax will be making cameras with the poor market share that they have. Also what will happen to my DA lens when they go full frame and I up grade. :confused:

I just hope that pentax stays in business for 2009. I have a k100d super and k20d. I don't want a worthless body like my two pentax film bodys.

I emailed them and told them I would sell the one that is like new for $30. They emailed me back and said they made a mistake. The changed the add. I never use the 2.0. i have a FA 1.4 and a A 1.7. I also have a DA* 50-135mm. I should sell the A 2.0 and A1.7. My 1.7 looks like it just came out of the box. To bad there not made like that anymore. My DA* 50-135mm already has a defect where the hood mounts. iI my send that back to pentax and see if they would cover it under warranty.

infinity is very close to the 100 mark. just a little past the 100, but before the infinity mark. if you set it at infinity it will be out of focus. i have tried it with things that are 200 or more feet away. when i tried the focus chart the image looks fine.
