Thanks everyone for your help. I have uploaded to the latest version and now using the 18-250mm lens that I had repacked ready to return to the supplier. Yep one very happy person

First time user wanting to know information about 18-250mm lens I am want to purchase for my K10D. I recently purchased a Sigma brand 18-250mm lens but unfortunately the autofocus would not work. When I inquired about this with the supplier, it was a suggestion it could be a compatibility issue because the lens had "HSM". Any suggestions - I am travelling through Europe for 8 weeks soon and would rather take only one lens instead of the two I currently use........
