Congratulations to all of the finalists, a stunning range of photos and I love them all.

On a personal note, I would like to thank those who nominated my photo even though I didn't make the finalist stage. It does give me more confidence to enter more competitions. :)

Taken on a recent visit to Hyde Park in Perth.

I liked the look of the submerged leaves, but I also wanted the fountain in the background.
I think it looks good.

City of Perth, shoot last night.

This is a composite image of twelve photos taken to see what effect it would have on image quality.
Each image was a 20s exposure.

Recently we in Western Australia have had a bit of an abnormal rainy period so I thought I would go and look at the falls and seem how it was flowing. These images are the result.

Fremantle Ferris Wheel. Taken with a Lee Big Stopper filter and a Lee 0.6 ND Soft Graduated filter.

I like this image because of the motion displayed.

I took this Panorama yesterday morning. It is a stich of 22 images. I did multiple images as I wanted a better resolution shot for the low light conditions.

Just a simple photo of a couple of young children at the Old Fishing Boat Harbour. These kids were delightful and just begged to have their photo taken.

I don't know what plant this is, but I like it. Taken in Hakodate on my trip to Japan in September last Year. Also one of the last photos taken with my K20d before it finally died :(

Thanks for the reply and tips. This is certainly an area of photography I need to experiment with some more. But it is more a curiosity than a passion at this stage :)
