Very nicely done, was this straight out of camera then (using the digital filter or something)?

He came to us as a friendly 8 week old kitten, the eye had been injured, likely in a fight, badly damaged and infected.
He recovered wonderfully.
He sleeps on my chest, head tucked beneath my chin, LOL

Thank you, he is very active and wanted in my lap, tough to get everything perfect, then i decided I liked the image as if to say "eyes are not all there is"
;)
Oddly just recently my left eye was injured, thankfully mine was saved.

He was an injured feral/stray, we took him in and nursed him back to health.
Growing fast in body and our hearts, glad to have him in our lives.

I got the K100D as my first DSLR and learned a lot from it. But the dust issues (I was shooting a lot in dusty environments) drive me mad. I ended up giving the camera and both kit lenses to a friend who adores it.
I move to the Oly e410 and a 510.
Excellent cameras the both of them and I am keeping them.
But, I missed the relative ease of focus using the K100D Manual focus assist (I have a bag of takumars my Dad gave me)
And the there is something really quite special about the jpeg engine on the 100; a delicacy of color and shading that I missed terribly.
So when Wolf camera had a huge close-out sale I got a K100D Super body and now it has my 50mm FA virtually welded to it. I love its rendering.
There may be faster and more refined cameras, Pentax or whatever, but I love my K100D Super.

When first I moved here there were all these little Mexican places with vibrant art all over them; one bar had murals of Vegas type showgirls.
I alway promised to document them but the bulldozers of yuppification beat me.
Never again.
When I see something I will capture it, on cell phone, Point & Shoot or DSLR, as here.

I am not sure why but this day the flights into Love Field were flying a very tight and low approach. Hearing the unusual engine roar I just had time to grab my Pentax and catch this shot. I left the window frame in this uncropped shot as a reference for scale. He is really banking that hard left as he passes overhead.

It is hard to get a decent shot of a truly Black Cat. Here is Sable looking alert. Pentax K100D Super, 50mm FA lens, ISO 16000 with a rather severe crop (she dislikes the camera getting too close).

Thanks wolfsfire! Yes they take a dim view of possibly dangerous stunts on the highway.
jcy us101, I shoot these effectively blind with the K100 since there is no live view and it'd be suicide to drive and use the OVF at the same time. I wrap the strap tightly about my right hand and shoot one handed, pointing the camera more or less by instinct. With the crop factor and the 50mm there is a learning curve.

Great shots, super sharpness and bokeh! The Chain and the Soccer ball in particular are very 3D!
Pancake lenses are awesome, I need to get the 40. I use the zuiko 25 with my 510 almost exclusively and love it.
These shots really make me wanna try the Pentax ones on my Super
Bravo!

Ash, thanks yes it all came together nicely :)
Kerrowdown, thanks! I get off work very late, this was well past midnite hence the relatvely empty road.
Last week there were two guys on racing style motorbikes being followed by a truck and a film crew, one guy was doing a wheelie.
He stayed for as long as I was in sight.
I didn't get a shot because a State Trooper Showed up :(

This is the sharpest night driving shot I've ever gotten, the exposure was perfect and the focus spot on. JPEG straight from Camera, ISO 1600, 1/60, F2.4, 60mph!
Lovin my K100D!

If you can get a crazy/good deal on either of the K100D's it can be well worth it.
I got my Super at close out at Wolf Camera for under 200$, body-only.
Since I had the lenses already from my late 100d I was all set.
It makes a inexpensive way to determine if you like DSLR's work general and Pentax's specifically.
You save enough getting one that you can afford the K7, 20, 200 later.
If you feel the need that is; the 100's give outstanding IQ and value.
:D
