New York City (United States) Item Description
Below are the items up for sale! Please contact me with any questions or any offers other than the prices listed (I'm willing to consider all fair offers!). K20D + Grip/Extra Battery - $275
Amazing little camera - has served me well. 19,000 shutter count, light scratches (here and there), works beautifully. Has been kept in a smoke-free home, out of cold/heat. The grip buttons are non-functioning and has a crack in it from when I slipped on the ice (it was previously on my k10d), however the battery compartment still works and supplies power (see photo). The grip is being included (basically) for free. (Included: Body, Grip, 2x batteries, charger). K100D Super - $125
Great condition, very minimal wear on the body, very clean. 10k shutter count. (Included: Body, Strap)
Sigma 50mm F1.4 HSM - $400
Wonderful lens, beautiful colors/contrast/rendition, high IQ. Less than a year old. Glass is free of scratches, fungus, haze, etc. Aperture snappy.
Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 (NON-HSM) - $400
Awesome wide angle lens in great condition. Glass free of scratches, haze, fungus, etc. Aperture snappy. Are you the original owner of the item being sold?

Lens is in excellent condition. Marks on barrel, but optics are clean, aperture is snappy and free of oil/fungus, focus is smooth. Front (original)/rear caps included. Hello Readers,
I shoot a lot of portraits and am looking for a longer focal length to shoot with. I understand that the 70mm is f2.4 and the 77mm is f1.8, but, according to Photozone.de's reviews, the 70mm appears to be stronger optically (less CA's, etc). The 77mm, however, gets rave reviews by its users. It's a tough decision and I was hoping some of you could shed some light on the situation. Both lenses would be great for portrait use, but which one do you recommend?
Thanks.

Here are some shots I did of my roommate recently: Attachment 43371 Attachment 43372
This next one seems to be the problem. I can see the harsh shadows under the nose, maybe a fill would have been nice here? Maybe a better angle? Attachment 43373
Thanks,

Here's what I found:
Franger: Another name for the hell hole known as Frankston about 40mins drive from the city of Melbourne, Australia. Known best for its boganisation, speed freaks, Holden commodores, murders that lurk at train stations, serial rapists and lovely beaches.
Also,
Franger: Unknown; perhaps from French letter. Alternatively, perhaps a blend of Frenchy and Sanger, Margaret Sanger being a prominent advocate of birth control.
This one's hard to find, and word etymology is part of my minor.

As long as the inner circuitry is not busted (it sits right about where the lens broke), it shouldn't be terribly expensive. It kinda looks like you just broke off the plastic housing where the mount is attached. They might just replace those parts, in which case you might pay more in labor costs, because the circuitry for the SDM and mount coupling would need to be re-attached.
Hope this all works out.

They're going to tell you to send it to them. Why not just send it to them while you are in Colorado? It would get there the next day and then you wouldn't have to worry about it getting damaged in shipping (a longer distance, assuming you're not in colorado already). They won't quote any work unless they look at what they're working with. Can you post a picture of the damage? I've worked in a camera store before (that doesn't give me any authority, except that I've been around repair work, etc) and I, or someone else on the forum, might be able to give you a general idea of the lens' damage-to-cost ratio. Thanks.

No. I live there and they will laugh at you and turn you away. The only thing you can do is send it to them. Their repair shop is in Westminster in some random building there. I've offered to drive my k10 to them once and they said that, even if I brought it to them, they would send me back home and ask me to ship it to.

Just to let you know, my heart goes out to you! I just broke a flash off the hotshoe of my k10d whilst shooting a wedding this past weekend. I hate when my gear blows itself up!
Good luck.
