Hey guys.
The new bayonet arrived today, and is now installed. Really feels like a new lens :D
The difference between the old and new mount was quite severe, see pictures below.
Thanks again for all your replies!
Best regards, Henrik

Yes mine has AF and you are probably right, quality chanced over time. Thanks! ---------- Post added 01-20-22 at 11:19 PM ----------
Thanks! I have had some wierd auto focus problems so I think a new mount will make this lens function like new. Fingers crossed! :)

Thanks for all your suggestions. I just got a reply from Sigma Germany, and they had one (1) mount for this model left in their stock. I cant belive it
Feels awsome to be able to use this lens for many years to come.

The lens is 10 years old and was used heavily by the previous owner. It is not something wrong with the K-1 I use it with, but rather poor quality from Sigmas part. :/ ---------- Post added 01-19-22 at 11:26 PM ----------
Thanks for the tips. Maybe I could ask Sigma if they can see what lenses use that exact mount in their database🤔

Thanks for eliminating some more lenses for me. I find it strange that they did use the same mount..😅

I have thought of that aswell. If no other solution present itself I will try to modify another mount. :)

There are different versions of Sigmas PK mount. The one I need is held in place by three screws and the mount on the 150-500 has four screws.
I tried mounts from a 70-300 and a 10-20, both held in place by three screws but did not fit anyway. Buying a big boy lens even for parts is quite an investment!

Hi.
I have a Sigma 500mm f/4.5 EX DG APO in Pentax K-mount. The lens mount plate is quite worn, the groove that locks the lens to the camera is almost worn out. Please see attached picture. I have contacted Sigma here in Sweden and they can’t get the part I need. Do any of you have an idea of where I can find one? I belive the part number is 5678P60.
I have tried to replace it with mounts from two other Sigma lenses from the same timeframe, but they do not fit. Thankful for any help.
Best regards, Henrik :)

So, a few days ago I bought a Pentax MX-1 from Japan, and just realised that the japanese power cord is not the same as the swedish/european one :/ I have a K-3 at home and know that the K-3s power cable fit the MX-1s charger. But, is the voltage the same? Will I be able to charge the MX-1 using the K-3s cable?
Kind regards, Henrik from Sweden :)

I need some help. I only use manual lenses on my K-3, and think it would be of great help to have a split image focusing screen. Have any of you changed your screens? If so, what screen did you get? Was it an easy operation? :)

I really think the helicoid needs calibration, as some people recommended on other forums and Facebook. Should be an easy fix for a experienced repairman.

Since I have mounted it on both film and digital cameras I dont think that is the problem. I took some shots with the K-3 and the lens set to infinity, and it was really blurred out.

Hi!
Today I was given a Chinon CE-4, which isnt a very interesting camera. But attached was a Pentax-M 20mm f/4 which got me very exited.
I cleaned the lens which turned out to be in great condition. BUT, when looking through the camera it does not focus to infinity!
I looked over the lens and it look fine to me, I even tried on 4 diffrent cameras to make sure it was not the Chinon that was wrong.
It went from the Chinon to my LX, and from there to my MX and K-3. Does not focus. Do you have any suggestions? I heard from a
guy in facebook who said it could be the helicoid. Please see the pictures below :)
