I am currently taking the pro photo course with NYIP and am having a ball with it. I know that you can glean a lot of the same info from the internet or your own research but I find the structured course spot on and it helps keep me motivated to continue. Although some of the material may be somewhat dated it is still pertenent to today's photography.
Also, the critiques you receive from you instructor on the unit assignments are very good and will give you alot of advice to work on your photography.
Finally, if you have any questions about the course just ask.

deadprez,
Thanks for the comments.
On the water fall, I used 1/6 second at f2.8 with the 2 second mirror lock up, but at the time I thought I was using a much slower shutter at a higher f stop. Still have a lot to learn, need to work on using manual settings on the camera, this was shot in shutter priority.

Most tattooist won't shave the area if there is not a lot of hair there. ;) This is on the underside of my right forearm. Not to sore really.
Thanks for the kind words on the waterfall photo, I still have a lot of learning to do!!
By the way, both were taken with the DA 35mm Limited Macro lens.

My wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary recently and here is how we commemorated it. I am learning long exposures with the second photo. The photo of the fountain was at the Mirage in Las Vegas, the tattoo was fresh from the tattoo shop. By the way, we got matching tattoos!!! Comments are always welcome.
Thanks for looking.

Thanks for the reply, I think I will have to have my monitor calibrated sometime soon to correct this problem.
So let's try it again and a little bigger.
Thanks

I have been more of a lurker then a poster but after seeing what this lens can do I decided to try my hand at sharing photos. I am still learning the K20D but the DA 35mm is fantastic!!!
I hope this works, not to familiar with posting from flickr.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks

garth1948, Thanks for the reply.
Here's one more of the Branson Bell on Table Rock Lake late in the evening. This was kind of shot on the run, I didn't have time to get set up with a tripod so I steadied the camera on a hand rail the boat was moving to fast to catch up with it.
