Couldn't agree more, seems like a perfect camera?

I'm happy with Pentax, they suit me the best and going forward. I would personally want tethering/full-format/lens-roadmap (if that means the DA* 30mm)...
But Pentax can't survive on my part-time wage. That's why I put my vote on "open-source OS/Platform". If Pentax get this first it will win over the entire Linux/Geek-community when they get a new cameras. More people with Pentax is better than anything else. And all the geeky-mods people will put on Youtube will work well as ads for Pentax.

Hi, I have a few m42 lenses for my Pentax Me Super and Pentax K10D. A while ago I bought my first manual with Pentax bayonet, SMC Pentax-M 50mm. It's working just fine on my Pentax Me Super as intended...
But I tested it for the first time on my K10D now... and the aperture is always set to largest 1.7. The aperture ring does nothing and neither does DOF-preview.
What's wrong? :o

Are there any Remote Assistant software for K5 like the one K10D/K20D got?

I often think that my K10D set the Pentax 360FGZ to full effect even when it's not needed. Maybe I want many pictures with a low flash rather than 1 on max.
When I set 360FGZ to manual made and maybe 1/16 then K10D change it back to P-TTL when I touch the trigger. However I can use "M"-mode in K10D but that is too hard for me at the moment.

I like to photograph random people outside, maybe they just have this nice look or feeling and deserve a photograph. But sometimes the sun makes a really harsh (harsh... Do you say that in english?) shadow in their face or body.
Then I would like a external flash to light them up, but it feels rude to flash them without talking about it first. And then I maybe lost the nice feeling in the picture.
What do you think, anyone use a flash like this outside? Is it rude? Should I try with something else?

Hi!
I have a Pentax AF-360FGZ flash on my K10D, after some quick photos the flash is not recharged for a new photo but I usually never notice in the viewfinder and fire a shot without the flash which is just annoying.
I know that nikon have som flashes with sound notification. Possibly to get any else notification than the small red-light?
