The macro mode on this camera is amazing - the larger DOF that comes with a smaller sensor is great for getting more of the subject in focus while still letting in more light - this one was at f/4.0. Squatter by bOw_phOto, on Flickr

Wonderful shots, the MX-1 is a pretty great little camera. BTW, funny to see your tag says Sumner...I grew up in Puyallup and work there now =).

Thanks guys, really appreciate the nominations and comments! The little GF1 with 20mm was my backup camera to my K200D but, man I really liked how portable it was.

I don't want to influence anyone here who is on the fence but, I put this Aki-Asahi skin on tonight and now I can't stop looking at my MX-1!

Hi Steve,
I am not a video guy at all and have a question for you. Do you leave the autofocus off or on? If you leave it off, do you prefocus on a point before you start recording? Thanks.

Shot with the 02. I have to say that my zeal for this camera wanes once in a while but, looking through all the great shots recently posted makes me want to get out and use the Q! No One is Ilegal by bOw_phOto, on Flickr

Thanks and I have to say that those aquarium shots rock - never had much luck trying shots like this. I love that seahorse one.

Studes are definitely cult cars. Nice shots and information, I had know idea that STP was created by them, that is a cool fact!

It really is a great filter - I'm half tempted to just leave in that mode forever - kind of like my own little mini Leica Monochrome =).

Holy smokes, I'm not sure if you are right or not but, you've got me convinced =). You must be a Studebaker guy - I have a few friends that also love them but, I don't know much about them but, this car was a beauty for sure.

Absolutely love the Bold Monochrome setting! 01 lens again, I can't even imagine the amount of purple fringing this shot would have had if I didn't go with Bold Monochrome. I don't know if everyone's 01 is like this but, it is the worst purple fringing lens I've ever owned luckily, it's pretty easy to get rid of in lightroom. Tucker by bOw_phOto, on Flickr
