Tim
Just wrapped up the Sexton workshop. What a great and patient guy. Very interesting to hear about and print using his workflow techniques as well as capture techniques.
He said he does not have workshops much so best to contact him direct for your info about what might come up in the future. I liked it so much that I would go back for like a 4 day printing specific opportunity. Richard Sexton uses many systems which he considers the best for the specific job.

I am scheduled to be at a JS workshop at the end of this week for 3 1/2 days in NOLA. It is a digital Monochrome workshop. Can leave feedback next week once back.

Why not rent a 645D to see if that's the "look" you are after like the M8 or better yet the M9. Then again try renting the M246 to see how a B&W cam might work for you since you already have Leica M lenses.

Welcone kbialous.
I sold my SWC and 503cw using the P45+ back and have never looked back. I was shooting with a friend in a torrential downpour (he still jused the same setup I sold) and he had BIG connection problems in that rain storm. For me that shoot alone was worth having the Z. It did not fail me. If you want MF, why look elsewhere.
As for the next Pentax 645, at this point in time having larger or 100MP files just seems overkill for my needs, so the Z could last me a long time.

Ice skates are sharp too. Guess they are now illegal except on NHL players feet.

Just carry a P&S instead of a nice 645Z and lenses. Of course it's no fun, but another alternative.

That iMac you have is a pretty good deal compared to the very high end Eizo 31" 4k and its a complete package 5k and all.

Thanks so much Ex Finn and Gavincato. The link comes in handy.
I was exploring the larger 4k UHD froom a cost savings stand point, but then maybe that is false economy. May I ask what 4k 32" monitors you like?

I was debating on getting a 4k 43" or 49" UHD. Do you also view your own images on that UHD? If so, what system drives your images? Not sure my 2010 Mac Pro video card has compatibility with 4k specs.

Composite to me means a collage of 2 or more images which are unique exposures unto themselves. This is a process in PS for example where you Photo Merge 2 or more digital images.

I have used the FStop Loka back pack filled with 2x645Z bodies, 28-45, 75/2.8, 55/2.8, 90/2.8 and 150/2.8 plus extra batteries charger, VND and pol filters. Other configurations have also worked well, but for long distance travel by air and car this has performed very well for me even though it is heavy and I am old.

So I guess there is no reason to list items for sale under that section if anyone can inject items for sale like this with anew thread under Medium Format..

Lovely country however they lost control many years ago. I lived in France for many years. No-go zones for police-come on! Be street smart and hire a body guard from a trusted firm.

I sent him DNG files and the AFA data is zero for the 645Z. He did not know why and also stated that the files he already had from the 645D were the same, with zeros. Then he suggested the following:
"BTW....Your camera is so high res, that you can also do the AFA tests by eye, without Focustune."
That's what I did.

You are correct, but that thread was not active like this one. In any event for 645Z users I was advised by LensAlign it would be best to use the manual method until such time as LensAlign has a 645Z to make profiles for their needs. Never have heard back from them since then.

Sorry, as I forgot all about this thread. LenAlign was responsive, but admitted that they need to get a sample of a645Z to get it profiled for their software. ---------- Post added 11-04-15 at 18:39 ---------- Have not heard back from them since early June. Have been traveling many months/locations since then and have not heard anything more. I was advised to use the original setup and manually fine tune on that basis.

I had one lock up on my Z, but it was my fault as I was hitting buttons while it was still writing. None since.

I often stitch 6-12 645Z images taken with the 28-45 (image number of course depends on FL used) without ill effect to my eye.

I guess no mention of a new 45-80 and/or 80-160. Then no LS. I wish I could have gone just to find out more about new Z lenses.
Thanks TEx for the info.

Since the OP has not been to his thread for many days now, it might seem is was just a troll.
