My copy does not show any separation of the elements or dust, and is very sharp with nice bokeh, but can exhibit a fair amount of PF wide open.

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing Item for Sale
Tamron 18-250 Di II IF Macro Asking Price
275.00 USD Item Location
Oregon (United States) Item Description
Tamron 18-250 Di II IF Macro.
Comes complete with original box and paperwork.
Bought used from this forum, it was my main lens for travel but I have replaced it with the Pentax 18-135.
Lens is in great shape, just a minor speck of dust under the front element, I've never noticed it in any photo.
Note that It does exhibit lens creep as is normal for this model.
I think the photo quality for a super zoom is excellent and I have attached a few examples of what you can expect.
PM me with any questions or if you are interested! I accept PayPal only.

I received mine last week but have not had much a chance to play with it other than taking some test photos aroung the yard and configuring. So far I like the camera with the 18-135 combo, much lighter than my k-7 and 18-250 with no lens creep! My copy of the 18-135 seems very good even at 135, sharp with nice colors and pleasing bokeh. I've found that even with lens correction on and RAW+JPEG it cranks out the photos very quickly - plenty fast for normal shooting! Will be taking it to Italy this fall along with the da15 and da40, should be a nice travel combo along with my LX-5.

Just a note on DXO, I downloaded the trial version and it recognized the DNG's and correctly identified the K-7 and Tamron 18-250 combo. I've been processing with the default settings and am very impressed by the output.

I have recently purchased a K-7 and after reading the shutter blur posts I frantically tested shutter speeds from 1/45-1/250 with both the 18-55 WR lens as a lightweight option and my Sigma 10-20 using both a cheap wobbly tabletop tripod or handheld.
While far from a rigorous or scientific testing method, I can detect no shutter blur from 1/60 to 1/25, at least not to the point I can see it at %100 view. I'm not saying it's not there, it's just not noticeable to me.
Perhaps I got lucky or it has not manifested itself yet, or the camera's or shutter's manufacturing run did not have an issue. I am certainly sorry it is causing problems for some people.
I'm using the 1.03 firmware.

I just snapped this in my backyard yesterday with my M100 f4 macro and KM, hand held wide open, brought into IrfanView as DNG, cropped, resized and saved as jpg, that's it.
I have no idea if it's any good, but the bee is cute!

Honeywell Pentax H1aI have a beautiful Honeywell Pentax H1a, 35mm SLR camera #713162. This is a fully manual camera – no KX battery issues! Body is great except for the engraved driver's license# on the bottom. The only problem is that the lubrication is probably gummy and so the shutter does not always cycle completely - gently nudging the shutter curtain let's it complete. It does however always seems to fire fine at 60/125. I’m sure just some minor CLA will resolve this problem, but that’s way beyond me! Lens is a Super Takumar f2, 55mm, #935507 in pristine condition. Has almost new case, strap and original lens cap.
Honestly, it seems as if someone bought it and primarily left it in the closet for 45+ years. $75 Price Drop $65 + estimated shipping Pentax ME Black with M 50mm f1.4
Well, you are really getting a decent M 50 1.4 with a working Black ME body! Glass is clean, aperture’s fine, minor exterior wear. Camera has been well used but light meter and shutter work – person I got it from recommended taking out batteries or they will drain. $75 lens w/ body, $70 lens only + estimated shipping.
Shipping CONUS Only by USPS or UPS, Payment by PayPal only.

Hi,
I am starting to pare down my lenses as I went through a newbie LBA phase but now have settled into a certain shooting style. Plus a really want a DA15! This is my first time selling (have purchased) so I'll start with a few offerings:
Pentax A 24mm f2.8, excellent condition, includes wide angle rubber lens hood, caps (non-original). $150 + shipping. Sale Pending
FA 50mm f1.4, near mint, original box and caps, made in Japan. $240 + shipping. Sale Pending
FA 135mm 2.8 IF, excellent condition, original caps, I don’t really want to sell this as it's my only fast longish glass, but if someone gave me what I'm asking for it’s theirs! $450 + shipping.
Shipping CONUS Only by USPS, Payment by PayPal only. Shipping cost based on USPS estimate from USPS - Calculate Postage, insurance on request.
Attachments: A24mm (2), FA50mm (1), FA135mm (2)
Thanks for looking,
Eric

It just so happens I tried a Hoya 4+ on my DA40 this morning to see if it would be sufficient for casual macros while hiking. Since I only paid $5 for a set of 4, I think the results are OK given the cost. Photo is cropped and reduce x2 for the web, handheld.

It's decently sharp but lacks contrast and tends to flare a bit compared to my Pentax lenses. Also with this large of zoom range the SR focal length setting becomes more of an issue, so you'll want to probably modify it for your expected zoom.

Hi,
This may seem like a crazy question, but I jut got the Series 1 in Pentax mount cheap but it suffers from oily blade syndrome and has a loose zoom barrel. I also have the same lens in Monolta MD mount that is near mint. The question is whether it's possible to convert the MD mount to Pentax by swapping out components? Probably not possible, but I thought Id ask!
Thanks

Hey,
I just snagged the Tokina AT-X 100-300mm f/4 with case and 77mm filter at the local pawn shop for $75. The only thing missing is the lens hood. Do you think a generic 77mm screw in hood for telephoto (plastic or rubber) would work, or do I need something specifically for 100-300mm, assuming the short end would be the problem?
Thanks,
Eric

Just for comparison, I bought a Super-Tak 1.4 for $40 and a 55 1.8 SMC TAK for $25 at a local camera shop, both near-mint.

The surgery was successful and I ran a few test shots, it seems pretty sharp and constrasty stepped down but has some major PF going on, looks like I better save for the 55-300!

Here's a quick photo comparing the Tokina to Pentax-F 135mm F2.8, sorry about the poor quality.

Thanks for the tip Chip, especially about removing the part first, I'll attempt that this weekend. Beats my idea of putting the lens in a vice and going to it with my hacksaw;).

Hi,
I'm a total noob who recently picked up a used Tokina sz-x 60-300mm f/4-5.6 lens in the clearance section ($50) at a local camera store but find that it won't mount on my K100D, but will on a Super Program. The thin blade on bottom of lens :(sorry, don't know the technical term) is too long side to side and wont clear the tab by the autofocus motor contacts. Would it be worth trying to modify this by cutting off and smoothing a chunk of the blade or should I just return it? Seems like a nice zoom range and I assume the quality is decent. Thanks for your advice.
