Stick the sensor in the K-01 body*, replace flash with EVF, and swap fixed rear screen with simple tilting one.
Job done.
;)
* yellow silver, black, white, and smurf of course

That's the camera that made me think Pentax was crap.
They were a bad choice for student cameras for a photography class -- not that there was a good alternative in production at the time. (So I got a Minolta SRT-101 to use for the class)
Pentax's reputation for reliability comes from their clockwork/metal cameras.
All that to say...if Pentax were to bring back a film camera, the last one I'd like to see is the ZX-M.

Yes, I'm not great at maths, so you'll have to help me here ...
If it costs $5 million to develop, produce and manufacture, and there are four buyers in the world, then each one would have to cost ...

That is precisely why news agencies should not get in the middle unless they are rather certain they have all the facts from both parties.. it has become gossip infotainment.
If anything, I think maybe the photog should sue the news agency too. Running a second story after the fact doesn't make up for all who only saw the first story.. and then spread that version. The News should be responsible for what they air/print.

It is possible. But I don't recommend to do it. First of all-it will affect every lens you mount on your camera. Second playing with debug mode, if you don't have real good alignment target(at least LensAlign grade), technical experience and documentation for that mode its not very good idea. Keep in mind that side AF points are less sensitive and will not really be very reliable in low light conditions.
I have tested quite a few cameras reported to be faulty in terms of AF. To my experience 90% percent of auto focus faults are user or environment mistakes related, not because faulty camera, and most lens/camera kits have need very minor adjustments that sits well between consumer available range in normal camera menu.

Sounds like you want a Nikon Df, except made by Pentax.

But Nikon and Canon, whose users own the professional portrait market (at least in 35mm land), do not.
Does that tell you anything?

No. You'd have to test this to be sure I guess, but after editing thousands of pictures on a crappy sub 2-megapixel monitor, I've noticed that for the vast majority of time, differences in sharpness at 100% are easily seen zoomed out as well. Pictures that aren't sharp at 100% don't have that "razor sharp" edge even completely zoomed out.
