Super Program has full auto exposure mode, full manual, aperture priority and shutter priority.
Also has -2-1 +1+2 exposure compensation.

You don't need a darkroom to develop the film, only to print.
The chemicals and equipment for developing B&W film are cheap and relatively safe.
Used darkroom equipment is getting cheaper.

Is an 8mm lens usable with the K20D? I thought it had a full frame CMOS.

I have the Sigma A/2.8 15mm and use it outdoors at night with black and white film. It seems fairly sharp wide open except at the VERY edges with good depth of field. I love shooting crowded scenes at night with this and the speed definitely makes a difference.

I sold off my longer tele's and lesser primes because they weren't used at all.
I've only used my wides a few times in the last couple years because I've been shooting medium format:) I do love the 15mm at night with black and white film:D
