Damn! That's a sweet lens and I've actually been looking for a fast wide angle lens. I was looking at a 28mm 2.8 which isn't very fast but this prize puts that one to sham. I wish everyone luck but hope I win. Lol.

I'd enjoy taking some bokehlicious photos of my 8 month old daughter by the xmas tree with this lens.

thanx for the compliments guys...

the first one is up against a corner so its impossible to get any sky..

as for cropping and post processing i don't seem to crop or post process my photos very often.. i know there is always something that can be done but i don't do it unless i intend to use them in one of my designs or if i intend on sending them to someone. Sometimes i pp them if im in the mood but other wise i just like to take the shot once and post them. Eventually as i built a folder of my favorites to a big enough amount where its worth getting them printed im gonna pp them all and make a photo album. As for now im keeping them this way. oh and i have photoshop cs2 and im quite familiar with it so i use that.

oh and the first photos of that building was taken downtown... college and bathurst area if anyone knows toronto... also the ones from my buddys cottage were taken at the top of Blue mountain near collingwood

i'll have more photos up soon..

keep the feed back coming..

^ no im fine with the white balance... the white balence isn't the problem... the problem is that everything else in the picture looked great except for a black sweater that turned out looking purple.

I took a few pics the other day where the subject had a black sweater on but in the pics the sweater looked purple... this was under indoor lighting but its not a yellowish light like most bulbs.. its brighter and whiter but ither way i set the white balance manualy...

i remember reading on here somewhere i think that a hot mirror filter would fix this issue.....

from what i've read hot mirror filters block out infrered light which can cause decrease in IQ..... but i also read that most DSLR cameras have a built in filter that fixes this issue.... but im not sure if my pentax k100d does making it pointless to get a filter for it...

so is this problem easily fixed with a hot mirror filter?? and if so does anyone know where i can get a 52mm???

what if it popped out and hit you in the eye causing you to become blind in your "camera eye"??

then you could sue pentax for all the goodies you want whenever you want because you'd need all that good equipment to compinsate for your lost eye... lol

i think of anything i buy like my car... its good to be familiour with all the visual parts and sounds that it has... so that when the time comes that something doesn't look or sound right... you may just catch something before it gets worse..

so i think its good to know the sounds your camera makes..

so does that mean that with a kaf mount or k mount the teleconverter goes on the body of the camera first and then the lens goes on to the lens... as where with a screw mount the lens goes on the body first and then the teleconverter??

you guys say to go with a kaf or k mount but does this perform better then a screw mount??

Hey guys,

i just bought myself a pentax 50-200mm lens.. i was going to go with the tamron 50-300mm lens but it would have taken up to 3 weeks to get it here and also i can't use my filters on it... so i thoght id just keep my camera bag pentax friendly.. lol..

but now i was wondering what you guys consider to be a good yet reasonably priced teleconverter.... im thinking of getting one thats 2x so that i can get as far as i posibly can with this new lens... just incase i run into some wild life up in perrysound or collingwood when i go up in the summer/winter time..... i remember last year me and my friends saw some bears at the local dumps... i wish i had my setup then...

anyways if you guys could just shot some names at me and explain this whole crazy teleconverter world to me that would be great... the help is very much appreciated..

thanx
