Odd clouds. If it wasn't a photo, I wouldn't believe it.

Nicely centered vanishing point. Concentric arcs above with lines converging on the flat floor plane below, I can almost see infinity. Also like it anchored in time by billboards and ladies fashion statements. B&W tends to draw one's attention to the geometry of the tube. Color would have been a distraction. Too many people would have detracted also. Delightful image.

Super-Multi-Coated MACRO-TAKUMAR 100MM f4 at f8
Set shutter to 1 sec and timer to 2 sec. In a darkened room I tripped the timer, waited to hear the shutter open, then manually fired a hand held flash to get back lit effect. Exposure by trial and error, thanks to the magic of digital preview. Trying this with Kodachrome 64 would have been hit or miss (and costly).

Ditto. I do exactly the same. Careful which cheap adapter though. I recently got one from china that makes the lens fit only upside down. Very awkward when setting aperture. I also like to dremmel a mark on the lens base so it locks like a k mount.

I have owned the M 40-80 since it first came out. It quickly became my favorite lens on my new ME-Super especially for Kodachrome 64. But how does one get it to stop down to smaller apetures. Does everyone cut off the little arm on the back to make it manual aperture only? Is there a less destructive way? Surgery on this old friend is traumatic for me. ---------- Post added 03-13-15 at 10:09 AM ---------- I would like to use my M 48-80 on the K-500. But it only works at wide open apertures. Any ideas?

This is the lens that focuses 1:1 in the 35mm format, even closer on my K-500.

Thinking outside the box is always risky. If you like this one, that is all that counts.
