this is not really true - I just rechanged / revived old Li90 by charging separate cells with not-so-clever charger - battery capacity is way lower, but it still works and charges properly now.

I have recently recovered my old K-7
After charging the batteries I quickly checked if it works - yes!
Old manual 50mm is still sharp.
The thing is the sensor developed quite a lot of problems - even after auto-mapping dead pixels from menu I still have some faint horizontal stripes, and very visible vertical one at right side....
is there any way to diagnose the problem and fix it somehow?

Shoot, and shoot a lot. In RAW only. Then you can go back to it after months, and see what could you done better.

kacansas03, I'd agree with you had I a single fast (like 1:2,8) prime 200mm around.
And the cheapest ones I found were Canon FD...
If you have anything comparable - just let me know, I'd love to try it.

There's fairly lagre chance that ebay seller is lying in lens description - I'll try to check it.
And the version with "stereo' IR sensors " seems to be fully compatible only with Chinon like CE-4s.
