I wasn't really looking to upgrade to a DSLR yet but QVC made me an offer I couldn't pass on. Their one day special value got me the K200d body, a 18-55 mm lens with lens hood, a 50-200mm with lens hood, a vertical grip and with the $125 rebate....I had to go for it! QVC has a 30 day no questions asked return policy and I love Pentax cameras so I simply took a chance and went for it. Happy with my testing so far.

I am hoping to be hiking around Wales next year. Whether or not I bring my older film equipment with the marvelously heavy lenses has yet to be decided? How I love my Ricoh and Nikon film cameras!!
Any must see places in Wales for a trip of 5 days? MUST I rent a car?

Just got a new Dell XPS 420 a couple weeks ago with a wonderful widescreen Ultra Sharp monitor. It is fantastic! And I am so glad NOT to have to deal with a wireless mouse or keyboard any more. We only changed batteries in the keyboard once in about 4 years but the mouse batteries had to be CONSTANTLY changed. Just a heads up.....be prepared!

Greetings! My name is Marion. I just got my new Pentax K200 yesterday and then I discover this forum today. WOW!
I have 2 adult kids. We all LOVE to read and love to travel. Favorite destinations are anywhere in Great Britain, Walt Disney World and Hampstead, New Hampshire. Better add Las Vegas to list but that is only because daughter moved there.
Best photos we ever took on a vacation were in Hawaii. But who could go wrong there!
Other interests include history, NASCAR and New York Mets. Football third choice in sports....
Hope to get to know many of you here!

My first post !! I got my new K200 just yesterday and have been experimenting a little. It is simple to use (so far) and the image quality is amazing. I was fortunate to get the camera with a 18-55mm lens, a 50-200mm lens and the vertical grip for (after $125 rebate) cost of $873. Seems like alot of camera for the money to me.
I haven't used my film SLR in a number of years and my previous digital experience is mainly with P&S. However, I think the K200 is going to be easy to learn.
No experience with K10 but I am happy with my purchase...
