Kupala holiday on Argazi lake
Midsummer is one of the four great Slavic holidays, anciently celebrated in Russia at the summer Solstice. Once this holiday is celebrated not only in Russia but also throughout Europe. Hills, fields, meadows, valleys covered with lights Midsummer fires. Nowadays, of course, this will not meet, but many people and pagan communities continue to support the tradition, and to visit Kupala, as it actually is, can anyone.
Kupala is the Slavic celebration of life and love. In the Midsummer night herbs are gaining full force, and people are looking for fabulous fern flower, which according to the legend shows him the possessor of all hidden treasures. The celebration begins the night, and continues till the morning. Happy girl making wreaths, and the guys making wooden boats, which wreaths of girls float on the surface of night water. Women lead dances, and the guys compete in the valiant prowess and dexterity. In addition many fun cooperative games.
Towards the end of the holiday, when Couplets (the fire) burns, the boys set fire to him made the day boats, wear wreaths for your beloved one and let them on the water. This is a truly amazing sight — hundreds of floating on water burning ships. Then start jumping over the fire, jump in singles and pairs, they even jumped hand in hand on five-six persons.
The embers of the dying of Kupala rolled on the grass, and begins walking barefoot on hot coals, it is believed that if you walk three times, ailments the full year will be around the person side.

The summer Solstice festival at the House of Perun, near the village of Taborie
Kupala - the great Slavic holiday, dedicated to the Summer Solstice. This is the time when the Sun is at its strongest when the longest day is adjacent to the shortest night in the year.
It is a magical time when the Father-the Sky is combined with the Mother of the Damp Earth, Fire - Water, and the Husband - Wife, when in the Hearts of people blooms wonderful Kupala Flower - Fireflower, and all Nature sings his song of Love...
This is the most joyful time of the year, but also a little sad, because after Yanka Kupala the Sun begins to roll down and the day is on the decline.

Craftsmen sold their own products (hand-made) on a small market. At the end of the holiday sounded guitar songs near the fire (usually perform folk groups)
