Just some various pictures from over the weekend, found an old Hobo camp that had been turned over by a bobcat, turned up a gloomy but interesting scene. Also just some interesting trees.

Thank you for the responses I really appreciate it. I think I shot the seal with a takumar 135mm bayonnet from across the room in Hotel Bellagio in Vegas. This was the very first time I had shot this lens and about 2 months after buying my k-50 this summer. The second shot was out in the valley of fire at the end of the main loop at sunset, same trip 2 days later and I believe I shot that with the 12-24mm Pentax fisheye. The third shot was at the entrance of the park at Zion national park, standing on the doorframe of my rental car with a kit 50-300 probably just about at 300, again about 2 days later. Didn't even know how to work the HDR feature yet and I'm not a fan now. 99% of the time I shoot old glass and mainly have a collection of old takumar stuff. Single image, very minor post processing which includes basic cropping, shadow and highlight adjustment, and at the time I had my software changing the overall colors to match that of a Leica camera. I've also dropped that process down now to leave colors as shot. I didn't know much about the aperture or depth of field using f-stops until later this summer, but not can see how that would have greatly benefitted me!

I agree about the cost! I am 99% of the time a manual shooter, with old glass as well....I have almost all of the features turned off at all times in my camera. I shoot again almost everything 100% manual, (M) mode, and 135mm takumar / 24-50mm so I just didnt know if the k3-II really offered much of an advantage or just a lot of electronic bells and whistles.

Here are a few more shots, just in case that link isn't allowed or doesn't work by any chance.

---------- Post added 07-23-15 at 05:10 AM ----------

Here is the question of the day, should I upgrade to the new K3-II or just keep shooting the k-50 until next year?

Vintage station in downtown historic Clinton Mo. I was driving by and thought it would make a good quick shot. Pleased with the truck picture as well, won a competition for rural America shot last week with it. Thanks for looking!
