I dont doubt it, having never had a chance before.
I was a bit dumb struck that it stayed still at all, makes sense that might be newly emerged.
Many thanks
Derek.

I always envied the mayfly and dragonfly shots that so many of you post on here.
I just never seemed to get the chance,
While in the garden this evening doing my usual fly rounds I spot this guy on the hedge,:shock::shock:
Not the best shots by any stretch, but I was still glad to get them
Completely wrong setup, its too big to get him all in, didnt want to risk going to change, so I took some shots anyway, he finally got fed up and flew away. Pascal I get why,
The flash eliminates the need for sr, as you said , unless trying to combine ambient as well, I hadn't thought of that, I might try it and see.

It's more than a little fuzzy alright.
I did start a thread on it before, around ext tubes, do you just add the ext length to the focal length or is there a magnification factor.
With the bellows being basically a variable ext tube I balanced out adding an extra 75mm, sometimes I would have more extension than that and sometimes a little less. I have to input something,
It's about as clear as muddy dishwater, it's a pity there isn't a definitive answer

Hi. No I'm using a lester A Dine 105mm macro and bellows.
I have to manually input a focal length due to the bellows. I have fallen into the habit of inputting 180mm for the focal length for sr purposes, it may well be the wrong thing to do, but it seems to work.

Not much of a story, went for a walk down by the river and saw this guy having a whale of a time, he put on quite the show for me. I spent 25 mins or so taking shots of him and his crazy antics, he seemed to be trying to catch or eat the water, great craic to watch.

Not enough space to show all the ones that were just a tad (Or a lot) focused in front or behind 😂😂😂
I'm very gracious, and I'll gladly accept your faint praise 😁😁😁

Things are only just warming up here, no flies wasps bees or anything, except for an abundance of ladybirds, for some reason, hundreds of them in the garden.
Here are a few, all shot on plants in the garden, handheld with, K1 + lester dine 105mm + bellows + ringflash IMGP3645ed1sm by dr.shutter, on Flickr IMGP3642ed2sm by dr.shutter, on Flickr 46471683684_6949be6455_o by dr.shutter, on Flickr IMGP3839ed1smfs by dr.shutter, on Flickr IMGP3796ed2sm by dr.shutter, on Flickr This is Moira, my newly trained pet ladybird, she can now strike this pose. Thanks for the reply, I'm just wondering if the ext tubes that were tried had contacts, as the contacts would have to be in the same place anyway. Contactless tubes and bellows would behave the same way, resulting in shooting wide open.

I shoot a fair bit with bellows, I know this is not going to work with bellows, but I would have assumed that ext tubes with contacts would be fine, however, one user review says not so.
Has Any one use ext tubes with this ?
