Unfortunately the revised price for HD DA 20-40mm F2.8 Limited seems went up to it's original max retail price of $796 both at Adorama and B&H. Only at Amazon the is still same as listed above. Whereas for a long time the price remain stable well below the max retail price. What's the reason? Any idea?

BTW the brand new price for this lens has gone up recently at the major online retailers including B&H, Adorama and Amazon.

Definitely yes, it will be worthwhile to upgrade. IQ and sharpness are noticeably better. Also, a good complement to your 55-300mm.

Spondias mombin or Spondias purpurea var. lutea, is a tree, a species of flowering plant in the family Anacardiaceae. It is native to the tropical Americas, including the West Indies. The tree has been naturalized in parts of Africa, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Indonesia. It is rarely cultivated.
