Thanks all who replied.
I have an MD adapter for pentax that works, but couldn't find an EOS to MD either. Looks like I'm either going to have to get an EOS to try these "lenses of a lifetime"

Happy 2017 ;)
I know this has probably been discussed a few times.
Is there an adapter that will convert a Canon lens to Pentax K, if so can someone let me know where?
I have acquired a number of "nice" canon lenses and some for loan for a few months and I'd like to try them out.

I guess it was a Xmas Amazon deal in the UK. It's gone now. Reading all this, I'll probably get the K-70 anyway.

I generally carry two cameras. my current main is a K-S2 with a travel 18-300 zoom, and a K-50 with a fisheye.I'm often in places where changing a lens is impractical. There is a lot to be said for two identical cameras. I was ready to buy another K-S2 body, except Amazon and other places have the K-70 much cheaper.
What should I do? Help me decide,.

It's a real shame that all these manufacturers, instead of writing their own "best" application (that is soon outdated), don't just use a simple web / file server and present the files in a directory that can be read by any windows / linux machine using a web browser or SMB browser, that is compliant with about 90 of PCs, and understood by anyone that has downloaded a file from the internet, or used a media player. They seem to be afraid of using GPL or LGPL.
90% of the time I connect a cable to suck the images down, even when out and about, or a mobile card reader with storage.

This firmware seems to have corrected most of my gripes. Over exposure on Auto. Though it might also be the stock 18-50 lens. Using a 50mm prime, I've always obtained perfectly exposed photos, unless it was user error - no hood, or too close.

Why would I risk a $10 battery in my $1000 camera? If I put the wrong battery in my Porsche, they cancel the warranty. The Pentax battery may be made by someone else, but presumably they can trace the supply chain. I suspect the cheaper alternatives just failed some quality inspection during manufacture, and are sold re-badged through grey markets. My company does this with their own memory products.

I liked a feature of my Minolta 7D camera, where you could export the defaults to a file, edit them like the default EV for auto, and it would then put them into the flash memory, so that if you did a normal factory reset, it would retain this item, unless you did a firmware update reset. It's a camera I still use tethered for some applications, though it is over 10 years old.

I've installed the new firmware. It's currently night-time, so not much chance of over bright subjects.

1. My Ks-2 is too bright / over exposed on auto. setting ev -1 stop mostly cures it.
2. I seem to get an intermittent ghosting issue when I turn clarity on.

I'm finding it seems to overexpose on auto by about 1 stop using the stock 18-50, with very bright sunlit subject, I need to take a load more pictures. I'll rarely use auto. It's produced lovely pictures on Program, or Av. All I have on the front is a UV filter. A CPL helps. I've reset it a few times. I intend to put it on a tripod, and check with the zoom on a colourful / contrast rich subject.

I've tried both the android and IOS image sync apps, can't get the hang of transfer. (only had the camera 2 days). Pressed multiple, held image got daisy, it dissappears too quickly for me.

Hi, I'm know as Mr.G pronounced "Mister Gee"
I've had/still own a long line of Pentax, Minolta, Zeiss, Sony, Nikon, Olympus cameras. I seem to own a lot of bicycles and cameras and don't make enough use of them. I was given a K2 camera in 1976 for my 16th birthday, in the 1980s I bought myself an Olympus OM1, probably due to David Bailey, I sold it for a Minolta 700X. Then lots of other cameras at work mostly Sony Alphas, and play, until about 15 years ago I started taking a lot of photos in hostile / damp/dusty places, and needed a cheaper weather sealed DSLR. I've had K-30, K5, and a K-50. Now at nearly 55 years of age, I bought the K-S2 for my impending birthday.
When I've taken some reference photos with the different lenses supplied (18-50) and (50-200), I'll post some samples.
So far what I really like
articulated screen
wifi/nfc connection
Weathersealing
compact 18-50 lens
raw format
What I miss
More programmable buttons
builtin-GPS
That's my introduction.
