A manual blend of a 5 vertical shot panorama taken twice with +/- 2EV and Lee 0.9 soft grad filter. The Z and the 28-45mm. This is a view in the garden where I am currently building a house to let out as a holiday house until one day I can actually move there myself (I hope).

A few shots taken over the last couple of weeks around the home area whilst still not very mobile due to health issues. Things are improving though so hopefully I'll be going further afield soon. All taken with the FA 150 2.8 except for the night shot which was with the 28-45mm. Spring is eventually arriving and the snow is retreating. The pastel coloured shot was with a Lee 6 stop mounted resulting in a 30s exposure.

As I am still pretty much tied to short journeys away from home on health grounds I like to get the 645Z out of the house each day along with the dog. This shot was with the FA 645 150mm 2.8 at ISO 2000. Pretty low light as it was snowing a bit at the time and dense sitka spruce plantation all around.

I have ever seen coaches stop for people to take photos on the return trip. These are both facing away from Milford Sound:

Scotland in May - Where to go?

It's where to start, there has been so much good advice given already, but I would like to put a slightly different slant on things for you to maybe consider, if you will indulge me... ;)

It's very easy to attempt to try and do it all, but that's certainly not what the Highlands and Islands are about. Things move a little slower here, take your time, savour, enjoy, spend some time at places. It's about the quality of the journey, the quality of the available light and also a quality dram or two.

Here a just a few images all taken within minutes of where I stay, each image has a different feel, there's no real reason to clock hundreds of miles, unless of course that's your thing. ;)
