What were the preferred film types in 1983 for a film shoot at night?

In the 80's I was not shooting all that much, but I was using "Chromes" according to what I could afford. (I got married in 81 and was pretty much a dirt poor college student - we found $26 on the ground at a grocery store and thought we were the luckiest people on earth. Two magazines, half gallon of milk, 10 boxes of Mac and Cheese mix then we splurged and went to the pizza store for salad, pizza and a pitcher of beer - Good Times).

In the 70's is was Kodachrome, Ektachrome and Fujichrome as I was a slide guy. In the 80's it was Kodak Gold or Fuji color print film. As for shooting at night it was getting out the Kodak and Fuji (primarily) data sheets to get reciprocity adjustments. I stopped shooting B&W film in the late 70's when I moved away from the darkroom built by my Dad and I.

I usually used Ilford or Kodak ISO 400 in the eighties. I also shot a lot of slides back then. No idea what fashion photographers used, I was using A Pentax ME Super, then a Pentax model A3.
Mamiya went bankrupt in 1984 so I guess they were not all that popular.

That's fantastic, we're scheduled to do another Pentaxian meetup sometime next year, typically a thing can happen for Vivid though I think a few of us are a little over doing that, but whenever and whatever we decide to meet up and shoot (and drink) I'll be sure to let you know.

A lot of users on this forum will be able to retouch that jpeg quite easily.

If you have a RAW file of that, even better.

I'll just step in with an advance warning for your protection...

Posts like this are often picked up by spammers and bots that search internet forums for photo editing services requests, then push their dodgy services. My advice would be to take note of recommendations only from well-established members - those who've been here a little while, and have a good number of posts under their belts. Any recommendations from brand new members and/or those with just a couple of posts, should be approached very warily or even ignored ;)
