I think the 2.4 is a great stepping stone to other lenses. Most consumers are used to 3.5. Giving consumers a cheap prime lens will step them onto other lenses I think. The first time out most will get the mandatory 18-55 and maybe the 50-200 possibly the 55-300, but to have them drop 400-500 or even 1000 on a lens will take some convincing.

"Regular use" flash = no
After tons of questions I have figure it out... after tons of answers

On the AF-360 I don't know on the 540 or others moves the lever all the way to the right... turn to manual mode on the camera and shoot... of course keep on turning up your shutter speed.

However I think the question is not can you HSS, but can you do it wirelessly?

I have my Sigma 28-70mm F2.8 EX DG and I love it...

I need longer though... I was playing around with my 135 Sear 2.8 and realized I was always too close to my subjects...

So here are the choices, I am trying to stay under $1000 I don't know current prices

Yes I need a fast lens, so 2.8 is critical, but hsm or sdm is not

SMC Pentax-DA* 50-135mm
Sigma 50-150 mm f/2.8 II EX DC APO HSM
Sigma APO EX 70-200mm f/2.8
Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 II EX DG APO Macro HSM AF
Tamron 70-200 f/2.8 Di LD Macro

I read the reviews looked at sample images just can't decide, so sell me one..

btw I shoot fashion and glamour type shots, if that helps...
