Change the drive mode before selecting multi-exposure because entering Fn menu cancels it.

Err no.
In the 2008 interview, Ned Bunnell said this: Quote: [...] The good news is that the recent acquisition by Hoya is very positive for the Pentax brand. There were lots of rumors of Hoya wanting to acquire Pentax solely for our medical business. However, Hoya spent $980million for Pentax, and most of that value was for our camera business. With this kind of investment, Hoya is very committed to maintaining and growing the Pentax camera brand. [...] read the rest here |

By the looks of it, there could be a button between the lens mount and grip.

I have the M42 version without tripod mount. Sharp and nice bokeh rendering.
Pics from that lens. |

No.
As "an avid photographer", he bought a camera happened to be Leica (even though he could have bought a Panasonic equivalent) to take pictures and accompany his existing Pentax gears. That's totally acceptable to me.

"It's easy to fix w/o hurting the camera or lens.
The lens contact pin is stuck in the Autofocus hole on the Pentax body. Roughly at 4 o'clock looking at the body, I recall.
Use a very thin piece of plastic, paper, etc. to slide between the lens mount and lens....the goal is to raise up the pin as you twist the lens off.
Just play with it and do not force it! " Read This!!!: Pentax SLR Talk Forum: Digital Photography Review |

It seems the K10D is quite prone to purple fringing.

If I am correct, 1s, f5.6, ISO1600 and 1/15s, f1.4, ISO3200 both produces the same exposure. That means K10D is also able to lock onto a dark environment.

My K10D AF ok. I manage to lock on 1s, f5.6, ISO1600...so is that the same luminance as 1/15s, f1.4, ISO3200?

"AF Single with focus lock or continuous AF (as a function of the exposure program)" + manual focussing.
Have a look at switch on the side of K-m. There is silver(MF) and green(AF). I think If you switch to AF, you can choose AF-C or AF-S in the menu.

Maybe metal price is high..? Without plastic I guess they couldn't lower the price enough to be competitive.

Hi,
I've been lurking around this forum for a couple of months now, decided to join a few weeks ago. You might recognise me from dpreview, I post there occassionally.
A little bit about myself. I live in Melbourne. I have a K10D which was bought on the last day of 2006. I'm 18 yo and I am not intimidated by older folks, would love to hang around and learn a thing or two from them. :D
