I think it will work on DSLR bodies, specially after watching pictures like these where you can see that the lens do not projects far into the body and it has a all the traditional pins and screw for the AF system:
that's what i see in these pictures.

f2.4 is f2.4, nothing to compare there, f2.4 is the measure of the geometric diaphragm, other thing it the T stop, that's the one who tells you exactly how much light reach the sensor. they are close enough to use just de f stop, but they are not the same because the differences in glass transmission.

Can you use it by tethering? (i can't try it with Windows 7)
I have a K10D with the same problem and here in Chile the repair cost will be real expensive, but since i have to continue my work in a stop motion movie, if the tethering works it could be very usefull.

As far as i remember that problem is caused by a disconection between the memory card reader circuit and the "motherboard" of the camera, i have a K10D with the same problem after a not so hard drop. In dpreview forums i had founded very interesting information about this problem.
Someone with the same problem said that the repair was very expensive because they had to change all the circuit board.
But who knows maybe is just dirt in the pins.

Well, yes, that makes a lot of sense.... lets pray for a reasonable low price on these lenses, or better, a cheap DA - DFA "normal" prime.

it has been discussed here i believe, but im in the exactly same position since my K10D has died with a "memory card error" message.
I want to know the opinion from people who actually have the K-x now but in the past used the K10D or K20D because i want to repleace my dead camera soon, i work with it.
Also.... do you believe that it'll be posible to use tethering with the K-x/K-7 in a near future? Pentax will do it?

K10D since Feb. 2008, over 44.200 :( :D that happens when you do a lot of stop-motion work with your equipment

Great lens, nice pictures!
this weekend i went to a flea market a found a lens between some toys, i asked how much for it and payed 4 dollars.... it was the same Helios 44k-4, now im so happy! :D i didn't knew anything of this lens until i read this topic, it had some dust, but now is clean and clear.
I tested it last night and i'm really impresed with it, i'll try post some pictures soon.
