I agree with everyone else who said all of them are great images, they really are. However, I vote for #10, it's the stand out to me.

I loved all of these, but I adore the expression of delight on the little girl's face as she's surrounded by the tide in #12. Well done fellow-pentaxians, well done!

I want to go a different direction instead of us arguing about whether they're introducing a replacement to the K-3ii next month. If they do, here is what I'm hoping for. First & foremost, improved auto-focus. I do mostly nature photography, but even with that there are times when moving animals stretch the current auto-focus system. I often take pictures for an elementary school & there moving children are frequently too much for the auto-focus. Second, since it has been 4.5 years since the K-3ii was introduced, I expect an improvement in ISO performance. Third, & of course this is a preference item, I hope they bring back the pop up flash. I like the convenience of having it available when I want to add a little fill light. Fourth, although I'm generally satisfied with image quality, I expect after nearly 5 years image quality will improve at least slightly. Finally, I expect the smooth refined user experience Pentax engineers into their flagship APS-C sensor cameras to continue. Please don't attack me if my preferences are different than yours, just share what you hope for IF AND WHEN the K-3ii is replaced. I look forward to reading other users wish list.

I've been a loyal DSLR Pentax fan for the last 10 plus years but I must admit I do sometimes get impatient by the very long interval between updates to the Pentax cropped sensor flagship. To date I've shot with the K-10, the K-7, & I now have the K-5 & K-3. I know some will disagree, but to me the K-3ii seems like a fairly minor tweak rather than a significant upgrade from the K-3.
However, my dilemma is that I'm far too heavily invested in my Pentax kit to make the switch without seriously considering the jump. As a serious enthusiast, I have most of the lenses I want. I've carefully upgraded with the best glass I can afford by generally buying slightly used bargains each time I was in the market. On my present budget the idea of jumping ship sounds almost depressing.
However, when you consider that the K-3 came out in October of 2013 with no monumental upgrade since other than the K-1, staying with Pentax is also frustrating. Perhaps I will eventually move to the K-1, but the cropped sensor is sufficient for me as I rarely do really big enlargements & I don't often heavily crop my pictures. In addition the frame rate of the K-1 is slow in comparison & from what I've read the focus speed isn't appreciably better.

Arguably the most beautiful set of pictures ever for a monthly contest. However, I think this is my favorite. I love the beam of light illuminating the swan. Nicely done!

Many great images in this month's context, but number 14 because the woman's eyes are so dramatic which makes it the winner in my opinion.

I don't get it. If you don't like the pop up flash on a camera like the K-3 don't use it. But even some of us who are pretty serious photographers simply don't always want to carry an external flash and in those situations the little pop up comes in really handy. I have a nice external flash and if I'm shooting a wedding or taking lots of flash pictures I will use it, but on other occasions the pop up is great. I cannot imagine anyone not buying a K-1 or K-3 II because it has a pop up, but there will be a few of us who will seriously consider not upgrading to a camera that doesn't have this nice little convenience. ---------- Post added 03-30-2016 at 11:19 PM ----------
I couldn't agree more.

The Tamron 70-200 is my favorite lens because it often captures truly incredible shots. However, please make sure you shoot some shots with it before buying it. I generally keep in on my K-5 and there it sometimes goes all the way through the focus range before it locks on. I don't believe it will generally work well for sports action.

I have the Tamron 70-200 and it's my favorite, however, you should be aware that auto focus is this lens weak point. It is quite noisy and sometimes searches, although I can easily live with that. The images it produces are truly spectacular. While not a true macro lens, I absolutely love the close up shots I can get with it. In fact, I believe I get more great images with it than any other lens I have. I think for the price its' one of the great lens deals out there. In addition, if you buy a new one the Tamron warranty is really great.

Number 12 gets my vote. However, by far my least favorite monthly Photo Contest to date. Pictures of junk just really don't do anything for me.

Nicely done. I always have an image in my head of what I want to capture, but it doesn't always end up being what I get. Even though this image may not have lived up to what you wanted to get, it's still a very nice shot. Thanks for sharing it.
