FRV is not an editor. It is a viewer only for the RAW image and not the internal RAW's JPEG image.
I use it to determine exposure and sharpness, mostly for culling through a lot of images to get rid of the poorly focused ones. I use the "USM" and "D", and magnification, at the bottom of it which shows the finer details in Red to show me the shapress. From that I can mark the image and/or call up whatever editor I set to use in its preferences.

An IR filter is, really, a must in modern cameras since the silicon sensors have peak sensitivity in the near IR. In other words, theses sensors are much better near-infrared detectors than they are a detectors of the visible light!
So I wouldn't expect much from a stock camera.

That's not the prototype... that's a Ricoh half-frame vintage camera she was playing with...
"During her visit to Pentax, Riko also got the chance to play with a Ricoh Auto Half film camera.
Like other half-frame cameras, such as the recent Kodak Ektar H35, it can take two photos in one frame,
making it perfect for people who want to shoot more photos for the same money. "
Looks like this... http://camera-wiki.org/wiki/Ricoh_Auto_Half
I hope it looks better than that :)
(OK, the yellow one is pretty neat, but I also had a yellow K-01, so I am biased...)

OK, fair enough - context is everything I suppose. 4/3 is a sensor, a mount, a ratio, and the size of a video camera tube - not the least bit confusing :) Thanks for the correction...

This was a positive report on the camera. I do not understand the instant quibbling about things posters do not agree with. He gave an honest review of what seemed important to him. That is all that should be asked for from a camera review.

Really good to see quick communication on this. Hopefully there aren't too many obstacles in making this feature become more stable.

Hey, since I heard my name, I wanted to join in here with a different take – not to disagree, but to expand. I'm using my camera very differently, with a different set of benefits and circumstances.
Don't worry, I know this isn't an artistically significant photo, or a, you know, 'good' one – making it fairly typical for me – but I was playing with the idea of street lights being holes in the night, and just plinking away to learn more about the camera and lens. It's from about an hour ago, and recorded with the DFA21 at f/5.6 and 1/50s. (If nothing else, it taught me to avoid f/5.6, and go wider for round highlights, or narrower for star points.) And it's a bit noisy, but I don't think it's objectionable; maybe looking a bit like a classic iso400 film pushed a stop, if that.
If I was using a camera with a CFA (Bayer or XTrans colour faking array) and recorded this at iso12800, the highest I'll go with them, I'd have to be very careful about making any adjustments to the colour channels. My Fujifilm XH1 or XT30 files break up easily beyond that, drastically reducing their flexibility. Even if there was colour in this scene – it's November, there really isn't, even in daylight – I wouldn't be able to use it. Gentle tone curve adjustments are about all I can do without blowing the noise out of control.
But this photo isn't at iso12800… it's iso320,000.
I'm happy to talk about nuance and detail under ideal conditions, consider how just the right contrast filter can improve the tonal separation of various subjects, and look for tell-tale differences at 100% magnification. Totally on board for that. But this camera is a monster that destroys anything else I've used under the absurd conditions that I put it through. Forget that "one or two stop improvement" from the 'tubers and spec-sheet champions. "Luminance data alone" is the difference between possible and not possible.

I took the K3 Monochrome out into the desert. Location is along Highway 14 between Los Angeles and Bishop, California called Red Rock State Park. The cliffs there have a orange/red color cast and I was curious as to how they would photograph through the series of filters i had with me.
All are JPEGs from the camera with the color filter used beneath them. The color one is off the Nikon Z9 and a JPEG as well to give an idea as to the rock colors.
I found the exposure was easier to do with the Sekonic light meter in incident mode than the camera's meter. The meter I loaded with all the filter corrections from the above ColorChecker tests which made them all neutral with regards to blowing out the exposure which sometimes happened when I used the camera's meter and the filter (Camera was in "Center-Weighted" mode before I relied on the incident meter which was more accurate.).
Was surprised the Purple FL-D seemed to darken the red rocks as expected, but it also affected the blue sky to a degree more than the Orange or Red.
Aside, in bright sunlight the K3 Monochrome camera's exposure display was hard to see being all white with bright desert sand. The Nikon was night and day different in viewing the exposure as the info was displayed in a black panel and not over the top of the image. The Pentax manual mentions C4 as a means to adjust the display, but I haven't had any luck trying to move the display onto a dark background beneath the image off the EVF. The Nikon Z9 camera's top LCD was opposite than that of K3 Monochrome being all black with white numbers/letters. Nikon seems to use some very bright silver reflective LCD so sunlight really lights their bold lettering up making it far easier to read.

This makes you meditate more on the idea of a Pentax film camera. Of course there's some interest to analogue. But it's film manufacturers who will make the real profit of it.

I think the big thing to remember about Fuji is that they made a huge deal about full frame being not enough of a jump from APS-C. I don't know if their mount could accommodate a full frame sensor, but they clearly telegraphed to their customers that APS-C was good enough and if they wanted more, they should go to medium format.
By bringing the price on medium format gear down, at least a little bit, it probably does make a difference on the number of people picking one up. That said, my guess is that most people who get a medium format camera shoot it in addition to other cameras, not as their only camera. The lack of fast frame rates, telephoto lenses, and flexible zooms -- say a 24-105 f4 equivalent lens -- means that people will use a smaller sensor size for their routine shooting.

Maybe actual sales figures scared Ricoh management. I went through B&H listings ordered by sales. Most of what I saw were “APS-C” and “FF” cameras. It has been years since I saw a professional using “MF”. Maybe their 645 sales were only to an occasional amateur. With the increasingly high MP counts available to “FF” digital cameras, I still see little benefit of digital “MF”.

Ricoh could sell much more K-1III than new 645 camera. That's where the shoe pinches. 102MP sensor is not new, аnnounced in April 2017. Just to put 102 MP instead 51 MP is not enough...

Unfortunately not. I usually take JPG and RAW/DNG images, but I usually quickly delete the JPG and edit the RAW files. The rapeseed field was developed with C1 and post-processed with Affinity.
