Hi,
I'm new to your forum but have been shooting film Pentax for years and moved to digital 2 years ago with an istDS. I upgraded to K10D in March and have been trying to improve my work of late. Here are a couple of shots I took in Oregon in early June. C&C very welcome -- and needed.

Loving my new 6x7, along with my only lens the 45mm--the 15mm Limited of the 6x7 line! ;)
Anyway, my appetite has only been whetted for another lens or two. I'm loving the process of using this camera. The larger size, waist-level viewing, lack of meter, and 10-shot rolls of film sharpen my photographic senses, I think. Not that I've become a better photographer, but I really have to commit to a shot before I trip that shutter. Anyway, you all here on this thread know these things. Time for some sharing. My digitizing process is very crude at the moment, so pardon any rough edges, so to speak... _IGP0982.jpg by filoxophy, on Flickr _IGP0989.jpg by filoxophy, on Flickr _IGP0983.jpg by filoxophy, on Flickr _IGP0974.jpg by filoxophy, on Flickr

Sunset over Safeco Field. I spent more time walking around taking shots than watching the game. But I made back to my seat to see the Mariner's winning home run. I shot a roll of color too yet to be developed.
I looked up the camera rules at the stadium before going. You can take pictures for personal use but no tripods or lenses over 200mm. Somehow I think that focal length rule does not consider how short 200mm is on a MF camera compared to smaller formats. Zeiss Distagon CF T* FLE 50mm f4, Kodak 400TX, Rodinal 1+100 Stand |

Okay, time for some sight-seeing pictures of Fort Casey.
Fort Casey was part of a three-fort defense system built by the U.S. Army to protect the entrance to Puget Sound at the start of the 1900's. It had 10-inch (254mm) disappearing guns capable of a 10 mile (16km) range. But soon airplanes and ships with greater range made the disappearing guns obsolete. The fort was eventually decommissioned but reactivated during WWII as a training center. Its guns were melted down as part of a scrap drive. In the 1950's it became a state park and similar guns were brought in from the Philippines and installed for display. Zeiss Sonnar CF T* 150mm f4, New Portra 400, Jobo C-41 Press Kit

Nesster, your waterfall shot is gorgeous. I like the tone and composition a lot. Nightfly, your night shot is amazing. Tuco, your shots are always inspiring. You are a master with B&W.
With all the great photos in this thread it is almost intimidating to post some :)
