I'm following this thread because i'm about to decide which lens should i buy.
Most of the people are saying that the tamron 28-75 is a good performer, and by judging the number of owners around here, it's certainly so.
One piece of data that i cannot find, is the actual aperture range vs focal range that the Sigma lens has. I've never seen that lens anywhere so i cannot tell. Since the Tamron is a constant 2.8, you do not have to worry about this, but the Sigma, a 2.8-4.5 lens, does it keep his 2.8 aperture right at 17mm and then it jumps to 3.5 at 19mm? (like the 18-250, it's at 3.5 at 18mm but as soon you turn the zoom ring, it's jumps to 4.0). Anyone would kindly try to write down when the maximum aperture changes on the Sigma up to 4.5?
Thanks

if you do not know this strap, it might be something you are looking for.
A friend of mine brought the RS1 strap, and i gave it a try. I have to say, it's a wonder to use. It's comfortable to use, the ergonomics are fantastic, and you can safely carry your camera without the neck strap (which can be uncomfortable from time to time) It's the kind of thing that you wonder "Why no one tought about that in the first place".
I've ordered one for myself!
Any fellow Pentaxians here use them? Do you like them? BlackRapid: Home for info.
(No i do not work for them , nor endorse their product, just that i was really impressed with the simplicity and fun of use)
Cheers

also, often people write that they ship only to continental US, but i've seen that if you are askingto ship in Canada, they agree most of the time. Just ask, you might get surprised.

Ok, i got a blank, perhaps i could find some help here!
A while back, MacAlly was selling an external hard drive, model PHR-250-OTG, that was an autonomus hard drive (with battery power) onto which you could plug your camera and it would automaticly download the content of your SD card (or whatever card you have) effectively making a quick and fast backup when you are not in a position to plug your camera to your computer.
MacAlly is no longer making this hard disk, but i've stumbled across an other company who were doing the exact same product, just don't remember the name.
Is there a gentle soul who knows this company?
Thanks!
