Hi,
did anyone came across ~x0.75 focal reducer / speed booster that would have Pentax-K mount on both sides?
I can use my FF Pentax lenses with intended FOV on my Fuji X-T20, but not so much on my K-5 or 3.
Yes, I'm aware of f-stop limitation it would impose. It looks like manufacturers of boosters heavily rely on short flange-focal distance in the design of their optics. I'm looking for a booster for SLR.
I'm willing to use any adapter combination if necessary. I can even make cross-system frankenstein if needed, so Canon or Nikon will do.
Any help appreciated!

Flash failed to fire? Lens not detected by body?
- Get a contact cleaning spray: Halfords Electrical Contact Cleaner 400ml
- Apply to cotton pad or swab, wipe flash contacts (yes, body also), clean flange of lens, body mount, battery and SD card contacts. Use only a bit not to attract dust.
- Contact cleaner usually contains lubricant, do not contaminate lens. If you plan to clean image sensor, do it first.
Your gear just became much more robust.

Jesse,
I share Your opinion in some way, but keep in mind that it's a 'hands on' written by Pentax fan (maybe too small word). It is still a lot of effort to do actual comparisons and write the text - for this I'm very grateful, but as always in such situation we have to pull out information from the praising form of the language. This is a point at which I distinguish between a review in brand-specific portal and the test made by brand-independent team. I'm very happy reading this nevertheless ;)
Hopefully purely scientific test will show up in portal I'm cooperating with, optyczne.pl (English version concerning lenses is lenstip.com).

Finally! Camera I've been waiting for since K20D came out. Shame it took so long, now I don't have enough cash to spend on toys. I wonder if Pentax will change its policy and show 135 sensor someday...
Very good in-field review! Thank You for that!

Is SMC Macro-Takumar 50mm f4 1:1 or 1:2?
If it's 1:1, I'm interested.

little laker,
I know that original hot 6-bath Fuji process sounds hard to do on Your own, but it's possible to do at home. Well, if You didn't work in darkroom before it would be better to play with BW process which can be made in room temperature just to get some experience. Fuji and Tetenal (which I recommend) also sell hot (38*C) 3-bath E-6 process, results aren't noticeably worse than Fuji 6-bath E-6.
The feeling when You pull out film from devel. can with getting slides done from photo lab can't be compared. :)

So it happened. Yesterday my LX arrived. I took it to work (lab) and measured timing in the first place (2-20% off). OK, perhaps I can live with 4.4s instead of 4s.
What really worries me is metering and automatic exposure. I've put a piece of undeveloped film for proper metering and for various apertures and light intensities I compared indicated and actual exposure time for smooth surface. It looked like that:
1/2s -> 1s
4s -> 3s
2s -> 1s
1s -> 1.5s
I understand that LX measure light scattered from film, so even its color is relevant, but are such differences normal? It would mean that speed indicator is really roughly approximated value, but then will manual speed selection be accurate?
I think the best would be finding a high definition film, taking few shots of gray scale test and put it through densitometer (which I have at work). What film I could use?
Yes, It's worth the effort because CLA is close in price to LX itself :(

It looks like some dust / oil / moisture condensation on one of optical surfaces. Looks like shots were made in quite harsh weather, perhaps it's the las option. Go to dark room, turn on one lamp (hard, strong light) and look into objective. If You'll find lens clean and still photos will have poor contrast, perhaps it's due to condensation on the sensor.

Backward compatibility, also with M42 lenses.
Very wide possibilities compared to price.
When I'll return to film, all accessories and lenses will already be here.
C. doesn't offer anything better for the money, L-lenses are quite expensive, 3rd party lenses have problems.
N. have a beautiful system, great analog and digital bodies, extraordinary lenses and... Prices.
S. i don't like because of their aggressive policy. They follow only S. standards. Like known software company :P
O. is 4/3 and with x2 crop factor it requires really good lenses to get decent results. Not mentioning DR and noise problems of smaller sensors.
It came out that Pentax is a system for me :)

If You'll be forced to buy new lens, perhaps I could buy that one from You for parts. In such a case send PM. Although I hope You won't have to.

alcc,
LCDs make use of each color pixel separately, not as 3 coupled RGB pixels. When image preview finished loading, it displays as much details as possible. I find it useful since "sparkling" pictures are usually sharp ;)
I won't help You with demosaicing but I can recommend trying dcraw for RAW development.
