Taken with Tamron 10-24 (at 10mm). My friend used his super powerful caving torch to light up the woods at night.
Exposure was 20 sec's and it was a little windy so not as sharp as I would have liked.

I've got so many wide shots that it was very hard to choose. Basically, I prefer shooting wide, and I have twice as many lenses at 35mm and below than I have at above 35mm. I decided to go with this one, taken almost 5 years ago at the Mideastern Museum in Washington DC.
My trusty old DS since given to a deserving young photog/artist, and the Zenitar 16mm fisheye. Shutter speed 1/125, ISO 200 aperture unknown (manual aperture lens)
edit...OOPS! :8) sorry about that!

Hard to decide as I use ultrawide alot to go wide, high or deep. Architectural themes work especially well and sometimes I really like to play with the wide angle distortion. This is the DA 15mm Ltd. A view with distortion by jmschrei, on Flickr

Langdale Pikes with some nice light at 14mm with the Sigma 10-20. Normally try and get some foreground interest with the uwa for landscapes but this time just wanted to get The various crags in.

Wide also means very close. My DA 15 has become my favorite lens for car shows with the DA 10-17 a close second. While most folks are backing up to take a picture, I can stand a foot or 2 away and get the whole car in. This one with the DA15. |

Not really a classic wide angle shot, but I used my Sigma 10-20 for this on a recent hike in Colorado.

Great choice for a subject, Jeff. I love my Sigma 10-20mm, and the hard part is picking just one picture, but here it is: Pond Ice Shot at 10mm. |

This was taken using the DA 15 Limited. I was standing in the corner of the porch in the early morning and thought the light and shadows were kind of cool. This is small town Virginia epitomized, an old timey courthouse porch. Hope you like it. Orange, VA courthouse porch by loco's photos, on Flickr

I also have this lens, and if this copy is anything like mine, it's an excellent value. Sharp wide open, I'm holding onto mine (for now), even though I now have an FA 50/1.7. The sears might be a little better.
