Welcome to the forum. I'm an ex pat Brit and came to Hamilton over 37yrs ago. I grew up with Pentax and now have two K100D's which I love.

Welcome to the forum. I recently purchased an FA50mm f/1.4 from Henry's for $319.00CDN and it is amazing. They still have them in stock. I have two K100D's and will probably keep the prime on one of them permanently.

I know this is a little late but I had the same problem when I updated my K100D. Same when I did my daughter's K110D. Both cameras are working fine.
I have sucessfully used my K100D down to 1/8 second with the DA50-200 at 200mm.
Don't give up - keep practising.

Look for "Magic Lantern Guides - Pentax K100D/K110D" by Joe Farace, Published by Lark Books - an excellent publication that has really helped me with the K100D. My daughter has the K110D and is getting a copy.
I just moved fron *istDS2 to K100D after having used my daughters K110D and I am sure you will be very happy.
