This is a great Macro lens. If I don't have this lens on my camera I have the Fa* 300 on it. It is sharp and easy to use. Whoever gets it will be happy I am sure.

I'm also sorry to read about the circumstances. I too own this hard to find lens. I use it with both my Pentax K-3 and Nikon D300s. Yours looks like it is in nice condition. I use my Pentax AF 1.7x teleconverter and it works great. Good luck on your sale.

I went into my back yard yesterday and found 4 Monarch Caterpillars on a Milkweed Stalk with all the greenery eaten. My wife took two of them and I took the other two and moved them to the side yard where there are many milkweed plants for them to munch on. This morning I went to check on them to see how they were doing and found all four still there. One had attached itself to a stem on a Fire Bush to start its chrysalis. I used my Pentax K-3 camera and a Pentax FA 100mm 2.8 Macro lens for these shots.

Thanks 360. The greens are pretty but I think the lizard may have a slightly yellow casdt.

This one surprised me by hanging around so long. Maybe he was blinded by the sun and could not make me out.

Glad you enjoyed looking at the little guy. He looks kind of like an old wrinkled man lizard but who knows?

Thanks TT. I like the combination pretty well. If I don't have the Sigma on I have the FA * 300mm 4.5. Another favorite of mine.

Been real busy working on my house lately and have not taken any shots. I was walking around looking at our flowerbed and saw this lizard in the light. I went in and grabbed the first camera I saw which was the Pentax K-3 with my Sigma 100-300mm f4 lens. Great lens by the way. Got a few shots off before it took off running for its life, or so it thought. Anyway I like the contrast and pose it gave me. Green Lizard by Steve, on Flickr Green Lizard by Steve, on Flickr

Norm,
I have used it on the Tamron SP 300 mm 2.8 with great success. I will try it out on the 400 mm.

Great lens. I use mine on both my K-3 and Nikon 300s bodies. Very multi-functional. I see that you also have the original canvas carrier. This is a hard to get item. Nice.

Went out and checked my back yard Oak tree and saw my friendly Screech Owl back in the hollow from a limb being cut off 15 or so years ago. Glad to see it. I believe it is the male as the female is larger. Hopefully they will bring up another group of babies this year. Jim was an internet friend that I had known since DPreview days. I had joined in 2005. One of the nicest guys you would want to meet. A true Texan through and through. He is missed by many. We both shot the majority of our photos in our back yards. This is one of the shots I took that jim liked.
I had set up my Humming Bird feeder in Sept. last year when the Hummers were flying south. We had a great Native Texas Lantanna bush in the backyard that attracted Ruby-throated Hummers next to the feeder. They would feed on the feeder and then on the Lantanna. The photos I took were all handheld This is one of the better shots I took that day. Ruby Throated Hummingbird by Steve, on Flickr
