I tried a brighter shot but the lines and craters lost detail.
With the stated settings, its at EV +1. Maybe thats the reason it still came out. :)
Suggestions would be highly appreciated. :)

I had been observing the moon for some time now, waiting for it to become ripe for the picking. :)
Looking forward to your comments. :)

I've observed that after a few successive shots of the metz 58, I smell as if something is burning in the flash head. Is it usual? :(

I just bought a Metz 58 AF-1. Though I'm still trying to get a hang of it, still its great. And here in munich, it was 60 euros cheaper than the pentax AF 540.

I have a stupid question. What is the difference between TTL and P-TTL?

I bought a new metz 58 AF-1 for my K200D a few hours ago. I spent one hour first reading the manual and then mounted the metz on the camera. I couldn't select the P-TTL or P-TTL HSS modes. So, I thought that the metz was broken. Then my Electrical Engineering instinct kicked in and told me how problems are always caused because of bad connectors. So, I put some scratches on the surface of the flash mount contacts using the ends of a pair of scissors  and then the metz was doing everything.
Just one question. Is there a TTL mode also or only P-TTL shows up?

Okies. I just did a bit of a homework. Seems like most of the good HD camcorders use the 3CCD system. From the list below, the first four use 3CCD whereas the last one uses 3CMOS technology. Five of the best HD cameras for independent filmmakers
Thanks for the info. I learned something completely new. :)

Is the K-7 a good HD camcorder? Why yes and why no?
The video below shows that the K-7 works really nice. But would I be missing something if I use the K-7 only as a HD camcorder.

The lens comes with a lens hood. So, you don't to look for any. :) Enjoy the lens. I have one also and I love it.

Thank you guys. I had already done the "Permitted" setting. So its like the aperture stays open in the Av mode in all cases. And in the M mode, after pressing the green button, one gets the shutter speed for the set aperture.
I had also gotten worried about the lens. Thanks a lot!!

I just observed that I can not set the aperture of my M 50mm F1.7 on my K200D. It always stays wide open. Even when using Optical Preview the aperture is wide open for any F-Stop I set on the lens. Is this normal??

I bought the SMC Pentax M 50mm F1.7 yesterday. Haven't yet fully experimented with it.
Now for using it I set the aperture ring setting to "Permitted". Now when ever the M 50mm is on the body and I turn the camera on, it asks me the focal length of the lens.
Why does it need the focal length?
I know the k200D has a smaller sensor so 50mm of the lens is not a 50mm for the sensor. So, what is the crop factor for the K200D?

I know these questions may have been asked a gazillion times, but I'll ask them again.
What are things I have to consider while buying old second hand lenses?
What are the setting I need to change in my K200D to use them?
Looking forward to some replies. :D

""300 euros for a K200D kit is pretty cheap ! Is that with a lens ?""
Yes, it is with an 18-55 mm AL II. But the only thing is that the body is in silver.
""You already have 2 K200D's? Buying a third?""
No, I just have one of my own, a second one is with me for a few months before I give it to my dad. But during this time I will be using both of them and the experience is fun.
What I really like about having two K200D's is that I have the same familiar buttons on both of them. Swapping cameras is much easier than swapping lenses.
Is it for the extra MP than I should go for the K20D or is there something else?
A quick question. How can I quote messages from other users with the gray shade thingy?
