Thanks for the info. F.Y.I. this site can be accessed with a PDA/Smartphone (whatever you call these things). I use a Palm Treo 755p and the site works with no problem.

strange filing on card?

I had a similar problem when I upgraded to a 4GB card, my older PC did not find the card. Problem was fixed when I purchased a SanDisk MobileMate™ SD™ Plus 5-in-1 Reader for $19.99 at Best Buy or Circuit City. Just plug the Reader into a USB port and insert the SD card in the reader and my problem was solved. My PC was a couple of years old but now I have replaced it with a new laptop and do not need the Reader to access the SD card.
Good luck.

Portrait/Flash question

My wife asked me to take a portrait of her later this week using my K10D. She is looking for business/casual head shot to post on her sports related retail web site. My lens choices are the 18 - 55 kit lens, the DA 55 - 300 and a Pentax "A" 1.4 50MM. I am leaning toward the 50MM. My question is on setting up the flash, I have the Pentax AF360FGZ Flash. I am hoping to use the flash as a remote "filler". I have read and reread about using the flash as a remote but cannot decipher what the manual is talking about.

So, (1) in plain language what do I need to do, buy, borrow or steal to work this flash as a remote in conjunction with the popup flash on the K10D? (2) Assuming I can get the flashes to sync what might be the best position/angle for the remote flash? (Assuming the subject is in the center of a circle and I am shooting from a position at 6 O'Clock)

Thanks

Thanks for your reply. However I am still confused.

There are two flash settings in the FN menu; "Flash Mode Auto discharge and Flash Mode Auto flash+Redeye reduct. Which is correct setting if I want to trigger flash as filler. Also, what is "IIRC"?

I can not find this info in the flash operating manual and have missplaced my K10 manual so I appreciate your sharing you knowledge.

Using my AF-360FGZ with my K10, what setting do I use to get a flash when the light meter reads plenty of available light and would not normally flash? Such as when I want a "filler flash" on a back lit subject.

Thanks
