Ricoh is working....with Zenit on a K-1 rebadge DSLR???

To put it all in perspective.
The oil probably ends in 50 - 100 years, the rest becomes difficult / expensive to extract.
Then the horse and a Carriage probably become plain and cars be unusual.
Intenet probably does not die, so Pentax, in cooperation with Zenit, can sell drawings on film box cameras.

Shorter knife blade on Swiss is probably as a smaller sensor.
Both of them can be sharp.

A K1Super are for the FF line.
It is more likely that a K3Super will be coming next year.
But why not both cameras developed together for the 100 years anniversary.

You are right.
I have both Pentax Z1 and Z1P and should know that upgrades to mark II do not be so big.
I submitted my K1 for upgrade, perhaps mostly because I think K1II will get new firmwere in the future.
OK, a K1Super needs a new sensor, then I hope a K1S will be in "100 years" with a ~42MP sensor next year (Pentax needs increased sales).
Current DFA and DFA on the roadmap indicate (there is room for) a K1 for around 3000 €/$ that attracts professionals.

---------- Post added 10-03-2018 at 10:42 AM ----------

DA12-24 then? I think that you can use it from ~16mm.
A used Sigma 12-24/4-5,6?
But no WR.

I have not followed this thread.
I have not had an MF camera.
But is not the 645 most used on tripod?
And my big question, can SR be calibrated for mirror vibrations or are they too fast?
Shutter fibrations can be very fast and is sometimes a problem at 24X36, but there is live view and Pentax could provide an external EVF.
If Pentax did so, there are the benefits of both OVF and EVF, with the current 645 lenses.
Not a new line with lenses and no new adapter, but a new 645.

But on the 645 roadmap it stands 2017 or later. .....

Itīs a FF, so itīs more expensive and bigger than a APS.
I do not think Pentax thought about crop mode when they decided which sensor they would choose.
For me, K1 works well, but it takes time to process, and for example wedding photographers it's a no no no.
So why a K1II, and not a K1 super with a fast processor and for 3000 €?
K1 does not need a new sensor, but a faster processor.

Of course, Pentax wants to sell more KP (but Swedish Importer (for Sweden, Norway, Finaland and more) only had K1 and lenses on display to show at the fair in Mars, I asked for KP and have only one try with the smallest grip).
I do not think Ricoh has a check on the market (but Pentax probably has).
But as in big companies (Ricoh) small player (Pentax) donīt have to says anything.
KP looks like a mirrorless test of the market.
If K3 IV instead of KP had come in time, some had bought the camera, instead of buying other brands.
I did not go to Photokina this year, I'm probably there in May next year.
Pentax is just one of those showcases I will visit.
I do not have much hope anymore.
Today it says 2017 or later on the 645 lens road map. ....
What is Fuji thinking about it?
Q is dead.
My Dad became 59 years old, my grandfather did not get older, now I'm 63.
I'm not going to buy a new system now, and i donīt have the money.
Maybe I buy a K3IV (if it comes) and a DFA70.200 / 4 might replace my F70-210 / 4.5.6.
That's all I see it now
Otherwise, I'm finished (now) with lenses/cameras as Ricoh is?.
This seems pessimistic, but what does Q system users think?
What do 645 users think of 645 roadmap?
What does APS users think about the roadmap and new camera?

I also write a long post.
I continued my analog Pentax cameras with Ist DS, K10 and so on.
DA14 / 2.8 came -04, I was going to buy it and waited for something like 16/2, 18/2, 20 or 21/1.7, 24/1.7 and 30/1.4, as APS fast lenses.
Pentax did not do that, neither did Canikon do it, but Canikon could say that if you want fast lenses: buy FF.
The only Pentax has come to APS lenses for the past 5 years is slow zooms for "newcomers", like f4 and f5,6.
Fuji saw that it did not exist fast APS lenses for 6-8 years ago and found its niche that Pentax could do instead/ before.
K3 came 6 years ago(?) A very good camera with a first generation sensor with poor low light properties.
Then nothing.
2 years ago I bought a K1 because I can not buy fast lenses for APS and a K3 with a sensor that works in low light, with K1 i had Zenit 16 / 2.8 Tolkina 17/3,5/ K20/4, K24/2.8, FA35/2, FA50/1.4, 1,7, 2.8 and more.
Maybe I change my KP against a K3IV in a year or so and maybe I'll replace my F70-210/4-5.6 against a DFA70-200/4.
But my upgrades for APS are probably just a new camera for my old lens.
Pentax can come with new K3 and K1 with external EVF so it works like a DSLR and a MILC.

And I do not want to replace it in 4-5 years.

I read here at Pentaxforums for ~ one year ago that DA* has new SDM motors.
The indication is that the cartons are in silver instead of black.
I bought DA200 and DA300 at spring 17, DA200 has black carton and DA300 silver.

Wild rumour: Samsung to provide APS-C sensors to Ricoh Imaging (and Fujifilm)
Posted By Bophoto

This thread had been unnecessary because 4 years ago ...
If Pentax bought Samsung's camera division for a few dollars, for old friendship, 4 years ago.;)
Then Pentax had a mirrorless system.
And of course, future deliveries of Samsung sensors.

So why sensors now (for DSLR)?

Ricoh had the chance 4 years ago to start an MILC line a year later besides the DSLR line.
Now maybe Pentax is thinking of a KP MILC, which probably would not sell so much, Fuji already have it.
Perhaps a GR MILC, small as a 4/3 if it has external EVF can work.

Why would Samsung be on Photokina to introduce sensors?

But do Samsung really want to produce sensors in small editions when they stopped camera production and laptop sales in Europe?

Perhaps, but I also believe in a new GR.
A new Theta maybe, or at CP +
A mock up on K3IV would be fun (K3III never came).
Maybe a surprice like DFA1,4X.
But they have to save a little to CP+ like DFA70-200/4 and or DA* 11-16.
I'm more pessimistic about 645, no DFA25 and 2 new zoom "2017 or later".

---------- Post added 09-16-2018 at 12:46 PM ----------

Nice.:)
I vote for a extern EVF for GR that works on a new Q or a GR milc.

The reason that there was no K3III was probably the development of K1.
Probably, it will be a K3 IV this year or next, but Pentax has lost APS users now.
Instead of K1II, I think that a K1 super with fast processor and for 3000 euros had attracted professionals and some amateurs.
Waiting for the camera to finish processing is nothing for professionals.
Can not Pentax buy a fast processor and keep the 36MP sensor (a K1 with a fast processor)?

A Pentax FF MILC?
Competing with Sony who has invested heavily for a few years on FF and Canikon who invest hard seems hopeless.
Better to invest in keeping APS, FF and 645.

Sell the Q system to China, they might do something big with a sharp sensor.

Not a direct response to Reh321 posts, but a frustration on Pentax's decline.

Agred, but not in low light.
If there is a risk of low light, I will take K5IIs instead.
But now that I have K1 and recently bought a KP so. ....

And it's more important than continuing the K7 ... series?
K3 came almost 5 years ago, then K3II came 1 and a half years later as a low upgrade (still with a low iso sensor).
Then nothing.
I use K5IIs much more than K3 because of the sensor.
How many are still interested in a K3III?
Many have been waiting for it for 2-3 years, some have switched to K1, Sony or Fuji.
I hope Fuji buys Pentax, instead of Ricoh's slow death.

Oh, Pentax might have solved the problem of shutter shock, I thought it was a too fast shock for SR.
A new advantage for K1II.
Over the years I have sometimes get blurred images as I blamed on user errors, first with K1 I have heard about the problem.

I think the shutter mechanism is a precision instrument and stuck firmly in the camera body.
But I can imagine that lens elements can vibrate in some lenses and DFA28-105 is not a * lens.
Has anyone tried another DFA28-105 on the same camera?

Pentax has 3 APS cameras, so it's not entirely impossible that Pentax comes with a second FF.
But then it will be a more expensive camera with the same body, more Mp and larger buffer, etc.
With a new K3 in a year or so, a new 645 could be developed at the same time, but Pentax says nothing now because of the sale.
What I think is more interesting now is if K1 gets new firmware now when K1II is here and what happens with the warranty if you upgrade to K1II.

First remove the glass as in post # 3.
Then use a tool carefully as described in post # 2.
Probably you will need to use the tool again after the filter ring has been removed.
Then you may be able to use filters again.

I tried to make an post, now I try to answer instead:
Interesting, I guess it's tricky to insert the lens so you might get the sharpness to the left (or right).
Went out yesterday and tried 07, took some pictures where a lensbaby probably had been better (no experience of it).
The driver worked well with 07.
