Hello. A long time since my last post. I need some help. I send 2 pics to a local magazine contest about surf. They select the 50 more voted ones to make an exhibition. In my humble opinion at least one of mines can be there. For me will be a fantastic prize, I donīt need to win the contest to be happy. The problem is that is very difficult to be voted because you need to click every pic to see it. They are 300, so the voters only see a few ones and only the people who knows you go to your pics. Could please help me and see the some pics and vote for mines if you decide they derserve to be selected? I ask for fair opinions because Iīm confident in my pics. They name are: "contrastes" and "amor entre olas". The only problem for you is that you have to register to vote and the web is in spanish. But, donīt you be proud to be another Pentax in and exhibition? ;):).

So clear. I loved to see the new approvals in their special gallery. Where do I look for the new pics? I look all the galleries until I see the news? All the weeks? I think I will not send more pics to PPG :hmm::hmm::hmm:

Great job! The portraits are sharp and the B&W works perfect. The messages are witty and clever. Love the man who aks for all the things that money canīt buy and are so so so important. :):):)

Thank you! In my opinion fall is the best season to landscapes. Where I live the windy days clean the atmosphere and the light is sweeter than in summer. But this fall is just a long summer, at the moment.

The pics are fantastic. Well composed, sharp, great. And you choose very powerful messages, that shows what this pacific uprising means. All a testimony. Congratulations!:):):). Let me add Iīm very proud to see a movement that started (to the "first world") in my country, Spain, the 15M, becaming an internacional one. Itīs time for every decent person in the world to say what kind of planet we want. The girl in the las pic explains the power we have: if we donīt give them our money, they can do anything.

l like the composition. It seems to be a politician in a dramatic speech, the head up and the hands grabbing the table. And I love the sweet background. Buen trabajo, compaņero.:)

Did you shoot a flash with the animals? There is a free program called Photoscape that can help you to adjust the levels in a very easy and simple way. I used it because I donīt have time to manage curves and contrast when I have 100 pics to edit. For example I took your pic and adjusted automatic levels and contrast. Then backlight 75%. Only 5 seconds and here is the final version. I hope this will help you.:)

Fantastic job, Dave. The balance is perfect, the low and the highlights. And I love this baroque composition, with no empty spaces. Itīs a pic full of peacefull energy.

Good job, Dave. I agree with Jer. The scenery is truly gothic. The fog, the tall building in the middle of the forest, the trees and the stone as a frame... wasnīt a vampire over there?:confused:

Thank you. I used the flash of the camera. It works well with macros not too close to subject. Itīs a bit hard light. You can see it in the bright points in the snail. :)

If you donīt want to erase it, DONīT DO IT. Different opinions is something wonderful too. I understand that your point of view and hope you follow what your heart says (insane or not ;)). As Steve Jobs said in the speech in Standford: "keep hungry, keep foolish".:)

I think all of us have pics like this. But itīs one of the marvellous things of photography: itīs life. And sometimes you donīt carry the camera with a perfect scenary; sometimes the battery ends in the worst moment; sometimes you arrive late to the perfect moment. Photography is life: good and bad moments. This is why is so special. And I think the bad pics must be erased. They are like those women you see in the street that moves you. Itīs a moment, like a pic, but you think: she could be the love of my life. Then she passes, you go to your own things and just erase the memory. Itīs part of the game.:)
