28-45 and DFA 35mm

I had the 35mm first and didn’t use it anymore after I could afford the 28-45. So I sold the 35mm. The only reason to keep or purchase the 35mm is if you have a mechanical tilt shift adapter for a DSLR. The 35mm was too long for a wide angle lens but too short for standard shots, kind of neither fish nor fowl. There is nothing in my eyes what the 28-45 wouldn't cover also.

Is there a USB cable lock for the 645z?

the spacer arrived to day. It's quite big but it really keeps the cable safe. You need a hexa wrench to fix the spacer, I will look for a screw with a grip

That's a good idea, paulster. Many thanks. I have ordered the cable relief spacer and will give a feedback as soon as I have it.

I have the jerk stopper from tethered tools but it does really keep port safe. I am looking for something more solid like the lockcirkle which I have for my Canon 5DM4. A damaged USB port can be very expensive and despite the stopper the cable slips out from time to time

I would guess there is something wrong in your color management. The image looks pretty nice, like enoeske has shown above. On my iMac/Eizo it looks the same in LR classic CC and PS 2018. It's definitely NOT an issue of camera color profiles. How do raw images look from other cameras? Canon, Nikon.. make a test under identical conditions.

645Z Lightroom Tethering?

I'am chiming in with my issue. I was pretty happy with the DNA Software plugin but it doesn't work with the new LR classic anymore. Camera is detected but time / aperture is not displayed. It seems the developer has stopped working on it. What's the fast and reliable mode for tethered shooting? I need both to be captured: computer and SD card.

Is there a solution for a cable lock?
Many thanks!

edit
I re-installed Image Transfer 2 which I did use only for a test when I purchased the camera in 2015. It's faster than I remembered. Unfortunately it downloads the image twice and I have two identical versions filename.DNG and filename.DNG (1) in the selected folder. What's my mistake?

it was not my intention to be blunt. Funnily enough it's the same impression I have about your posting ;-)
Please accept my apologies maybe caused by being no native english.

I think there was a misreading in my concerns. There is no issue in Adobe applications. The issue occurred when a third party application as my client's database was referring to Adobe standard metadata.

it has nothing to do with ACR version. It's the Pentax which writes different header into the files than Adobe. In my opinion Adobe should be standard

see this comparison of the same Pentax DNG file

thanks all for your reply. 1st of all I forgot to mention that I run the latest version of LR CC, PS CC and AC 9.0. I assumed that to be given.

All files created by Adobe applications are fine in the client's database. The issues occur only with Pentax' genuine DNG files. Obviously the database expects some information in metadata which is embedded in DNG files created by Adobe but is not contained in DNG files out of camera.
Converting the Pentax DNG files with Adobe DNG converter solved the problem but it's a little bit strange to convert a DNG file to DNG again.

I had a strange issue today. Although all files look great in Lightroom, Bridge and Photoshop they behaved unexpected after loading them into a client's database. They were showing up as TIF files after ingestion even though they all have dng file extensions. My client was also noticing that the Pentax DNGs are also not holding correct image rotation when ingested. Portait files showed up as landscape...
Files from Canon cr.2 exported toDNGs were all displayed correct.

Converting the Pentax DNG files with the Adobe DNG converter solved this issue (tG) I opened the Adobe DNG and Pentax DNG with a text editor and found out that they have a totally different header. Bummer!

My first test really convinced me. I am actually selling my P45 and cancelled my 5DRs pre-order. I am using it for any kind of advertising. I grew up with the 500C/M and 503CX and I love shooting hand held with the 645z.
