It was done with a tripod, everything in manual. The stream bed actually flows away from the arch to the left of where I shot from, but I could maybe get more landscape in. I may be able to do a night shot, but theoretically, the park is closed at night.

Bruce and mee, Thank you both for your input and you are both correct. I do not have Photoshop, and have been doing all my editing thus far in Silkypix. I must say that Bruce's version of my shot is significantly better than mine, and I will try to keep this all in mind.

Without reshooting the image, which I could do at a later date, the most I could do is go back to the raw photo and edit it differently. To get more of the stream, I would definitely have to reshoot.

I picked up a K50 kit a few weeks ago after having used a Coolpix 300 for a couple of years. I am still learning the ins and outs of the camera, but thus far, I have been super impressed and glad I made the choice instead of a Nikon or Canon. Furthermore, I had to call customer support at Pentax, to get some part number for compatible batteries and remotes, and they were very patient and helpful.

My name is Don and earlier this week I received the K-50 that I researched and my wife agreed with me that it was by far the best entry level DSLR on the market. I am replacing a Nikon Coolpix300. I look forward to seeing all of the wonderful photographs and learning how to use the K-50 to the best of its and mine ability.
