Oh, I forgot the K-Mount-Module for GXR. I also think it'll have 16 MP again. That Sensor is simply too good...

Oh, that's easy!
K-01 (K-r Sidekick, already presented): 16 MP
K-300 (K-r Replacement, May/June 2012): 16 MP
K-30 (K-5 Replacement, Photokina 2012): 24 MP
K-3 (K-5 Upgrade, Photokina 2012 or little later): 18 MP (but faster, higher ISO etc.)
K-1pro (2013) 24 MP Fullframe
:D:cool::cool:
PS: Maybe I'm wrong with 24@K-30 and 18@K-3. Might still be the other way around ;-)

A K-5 isn't really much bigger than a Leica: You may compare it here. |

I don't care about names, I just care about cameras and optics. My present Pentax is labeled 'Samsung' and it doesn't matter to me, too.
Why shouldn't they use both names, like VW and Audi does, for example? Launching new Ricoh DSLRs on a technical Pentax Basis sounds good to me. Ricoh used to build very interesting SLR-Cameras in former times.

Now that the new Pentax Q had become reality, is there any evidence, rumor or news about a future K-mount EVIL camera coming this year?

No K-Mount Glass will be able to deliver enough detail to a 12 megapixel crop 5.6 sensor. This sensor is as densely packed as a 46 MP APS-C!

I would be much more interested in the GX30. Anything new about that one! Ist it a K7 or is it more like a K20D super?

I don't think it would be possible to 'shorten' the body for the distance between lensmount and sensor is given! You can only econnomize depth 'behind' the sensor, i.e. the thickness of the display.

Oh, I'm shure it is!
Look at the knobs and buttons on the upper side of the Mirrorbox: Everything matches!
And it really has to be very small for the mirrorbox is that dominant compared to K10D and others!

Again. The X70 is just a simple me-too product, bougt in china (engeneering included). The lens is exactly the same as the one of the new Nikon and the new Kodak Ultrazoom-Cameras, so is the sensor.
It's just easly generated turnover. That's all.

The new Pentax Bridge not only seems to share the lens with nikon but also with the funny new Kodak with that additonal Portrait-Grip. So in fact it seems to be simply a me-too-Product, bougt cheaply in China. Can't be a big misstake, for it's no big invest.
The new Samsung EVIL on the other Hand is no good news for K-Mount-users like us. There is no indication, that it should support K-Mount-Lenses in any way (and I don't think, it ever will). Looks defitively like the end of the Samsung-Pentax-Cooperation. If not instantly, then in the near future.

Hi everybody!
Beeing a regular 'poster' in different german forums on photographie, I now found your nice place here!
I'm a professional architect, 40 Years of age and do SLR-photography for quite a long time already (Nikon F301 and some 5 or 6 lenses). I somehow 'lost contact' to my hobby several years ago and restarted 2 Years ago (with a bridge camera, fuji S6500fd). Meanwhile i switched over to a GX10 and several lenses.
Lots of my pictures can be found at Der Archinaut - Galerie
and in my 'cambodian roadbook 2007': Translated version of http://www.derarchinaut.de/joomla/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=14&Itemid=9 (funny english, thanks to google ;))

I wrote to them too and received the same answer: 'Sehr geehrter Herr [archinaut],
gerne könne wir nach Australien liefern.
In Frage käme Versand per Päckchen zum Preis von EUR 19,95.
Mit freundlichen Grüßen
Reimund Schuster
Inhaber'
that means he kindly agrees shipping to Australia. Costs would be 19,95 EUR (no insurance, no express shipping). Signed by the owner of the company. I'm quite shure, you can contact him in english via info[at]tekade.de

What kind of help do you need? Asking TeKaDe, whether they ship to Australia or not?

Owning a Samsung GX10, I should be happy about the new section. But I hardly see any case, the answer would differ from an answer given in the Pentax section.
Firmware ist slightly different, Body is a little bigger/better for my hands, that's it (afaik).
I'm regularely posting at a mixed-brand german forum (called 'penum.de') and even help from C or N Users is usually sufficient. But anyhow, Adam: Maybe you know something we don't about new Samsung-only-DSLRs ( ;) ) - then this Section will soon make a lot of sense :lol::lol:
Nice Pentax-Forum in total! I'm happy to be here!
