I'm quite sure that this thing is autofocus assist lamp. Think about it - rumors say that K7 will come without integrated flash, so autofocus assist is must-have.
Actualy I think this lamp is like confirmation that K7 will be without flash.

Look at sample photo #2 and take full size download - this picture has 17.4mp resolution. Could it mean that we can expect K20D super with new sensor?
