Thanks for the information. The body was marked 'E' and there was no mention of the missing cover. If they don't have it, I'll send it back and keep looking for another ES II.

Last week I got lucky and came across a Spotmatic SL and three takumars: SMC 28 3.5, Super Tak 55 2, and Super Tak 135 3.5. All the lenses in excellent condition (with caps and hoods too!). The SL needed new light seals but other than that it's working great. 60USD for all.

Also wanting a body with some automation and a meter, I ordered a ES II from Adorama. It arrived today but the battery housing cover is missing. I've written them to see if they've got the piece. If not, I requested to send the body back. Although, poking around the internet just now I can't find another ES II for sale. Does anyone know if the battery cover is the same as other Spotmatic models? If so, I'll look for a cheap junker and use it for parts.
