I remember Reactolite Rapide. They were glass and I always thought Transitions didn't perform as well.

Last year I found my Planar 3 was running slow after a couple of album sides. Turned out to be the capacitor on the power supply board. Found a replacement on eBay and it's been fine since then.

It even damaged Carlos Sainz's car enough to need an engine replacement for which he was penalised 10 grid places. Hardly seems fair.

I once donated a sandwich toaster to my work canteen for anyone to use. You might think that not much can go wrong with a sandwich toaster but it didn't take long for it to be trashed. Pretty sure nobody bothered to clean it either.

Until seeing yours and then Googling I had never seen a cribbage board with that layout. All the ones I have seen have been like this one.

It finally arrived at around 7pm. The map showing its position was available from about 2.15pm until the delivery so I could see it sitting outside the depot for hours before it started moving again. I have no idea why the customer services agent would not admit that it had been taken back to the depot. Just tell the truth!
The box was slightly damaged and the delivery guy pointed this out to me and gave me the option of sending it back. It was only cat treats and all the sachets were present and correct so I accepted it.

IIRC the coil resistance is 30 Ohms not 30 kOhms.

Why would a seller offer fake SD cards? Wouldn't they be swamped with complaints and returns?

In the early days of SMS you couldn't send messages to someone on a different network. When I first bought a mobile phone (Nokia naturally) I actually read the manual found the chapter on SMS and sent one to a friend. When there was no reply I mentioned it next time I saw him and he hadn't even realised he had received it and was of the opinion that it would never catch on [emoji1787]

Could land elsewhere though. Flights often get diverted to alternative airports hundreds of miles away.

Good point, but at Wimbledon before the Centre Court roof there was a risk of Cliff Richard "entertaining" the crowd during rain delays.

At the moment there is a Premier League Summer Series taking place in the US involving six English Premier League soccer teams. Each time plays three games and it has been decided that the team with the most points will be deemed the winner. So it's a league where each team avoids playing two of the other teams [emoji2357]. I wonder who thought that was a good idea [emoji848]

Wasn't it a Morris Marina rather than an Austin? Some cars were made under both names but I don't remember an Austin Marina.

I feel I must correct you there. Firstly it is Headingley with an "e" and secondly Wimbledon do have a closeable roof on Centre court and No 1 court.

When that happened in the design lab at work, the capacitor had been connected in reverse polarity. The guy who built the equipment claimed the terminals were wrongly labelled so he wasn't to blame. I checked, the capacitor was clearly labelled correctly but he still insisted he wasn't to blame despite the smoking gun or in this case, capacitor [emoji1787]
